Mavs pretty fortunate to hold on there. If the thunder didn't come out looking like they had partied in Bangkok they would have won this. If I was brooks I would start Ibaka at the 5 and put Collison in at the 4. I know Perkins is a polarizing figure on this board, but second worst plus minus again this game and just doesn't seem to have the intensity right now. Collison is playing really good defense on Dirk and Perk can't guard him (and also struggles with Chandler)

I love those little pull up jump shots off the dribble from 14-17 feet by Dirk Nowitzki.

Fast becoming a lost art in this league. So refreshing to see.

Tyson Chandler is a truly great player. I'd love to see him in green.

This playoff run has increased his stock by a lot....he won't come cheap.

I don't think Chandler has ever come cheap his whole career. He has been overpaid for most of it and now he is basically earning his money

Yeah, I think we can call the trade more or less a wash for both teams at this point.  Neither team got very much out of the players they acquired -- though each team improved in some areas and weakened in others, it appears that neither was really "put over the top" or seriously weakened by the trade.

Maybe we'll see next year but I agree at this point (unless you want to say Perk's team advanced further) that it is a wash. Perk says he is playing at 65% and Green went from playing 40 minutes a game to 15. I'm interested to see what happens next year and in the future for both guys

thats true, okc improved because they were able to use players that fit more into there positions

Kendrick Perkins wouldnt really have helped us vs miami, at least not where we would have won, that series was more or less lost when rondo went down

but there is no way jeff green is getting 9 mil per year from anyone and celtics have him for 6 mil next season

the celtics also aquired clippers 1st round pick in 2012

so danny won this trade unless okc comes back and wins the finals somehow

Mavs were just blowing by Perk, especially in the first half, for uncontested layups.  To Perk's defense, he's not fully recovered, but still he should be able to cause some mis-direction or altered shots.  Collison and Ibaka are much more valuable to OKC at this point.

I don't know if we necessarily won the trade, but I don't think it's an obvious loss.  Perk wouldn't have put us over the top vs. Miami....though Shaq may have.

What really matters is who we can get next year, presumably for the MLE, to play the 5.
