And Dan Gilbert's promise stands! ;D

Somehow I thought he'd be one of the first to congratulate Dallas.

Hats off to the Mavericks, welcome to the club gentlemen.

He was, I posted this in another thread, he posted it soon after the game...

That was from his Twitter

Yep I did see that comment before I posted, my post is a little unclear on that sorry.

He had to be enjoying it nearly as much as Mark Cuban. Wycliffe Grousbeck probably not too displeased either. :)

So, do the Heat fire Spoelstra?  Adelman is still looking for work.

I feel bad for Spoelstra, because I think he did an admirable job this year.  That said, I don't think he's a good fit for the Heat.  I think they need a guy with a lot of experience a large stature to command the respect of those guys.

In the absence of Phil Jackson, I think Adelman (or maybe a guy like Sloan?) would be best.

Even though I would be bummed to see him leave television, I think Jeff Van Gundy would be a good fit. His ties to Pat Riley make it a real possibility too. Sloan and Adelman would be good choices as well, though.

I want Mike D'Antoni to somehow end up coaching the Heat.

Hahaha, okay. You are right about the enjoyment I'm sure is going around.

Lebron:  "The people who root against me have to wake up with their same personal problems tomorrow while I live my life doing what I wanna do"

This is why people hate you.

I'm not one to stick up for LeBron very often, but I honestly don't think he meant it like that.  I think he was trying to say something like "At the end of the day, it doesn't matter.  They have to get back to their lives, and I have to get back to mine."  I don't think he was trying to imply that he's so much better than everybody else, even though it did kinda come out that way.

Just my opinion.  He's arrogant, but I don't think even he's that much of a prick.

Cuban is classier than I thought. This really gave us a good look into the Mavs. Love 'm.

I'm so happy for Dallas. For Dirk, for Kidd, the entire organization. Their 'ship is a tribute to the real fans of basketball. People like you and me. I wonder how Stern feels now that his new favorite team lost  ;D

Well, congrats to the Dallas Mavericks.
I'm not a big fan of Mark Cuban, but I am happy for him and his team, especially Dirk, Kidd and Terry.
Celtics fan for life.

That's the way it sounded to me too.  What a jerk.

The people in Bristol, Connecticut must be in a collective depression over this loss.

Nah...  Now they have the "Miami Heat Seeking Redemption" story to pimp all next year.  They'll find some way to spin this into even more Heat coverage.

I agree with this.   :-\

Yeah I agree with this. Actually I guess  even if he did mean it that way I don't really care. He's right. I can't stand Lebron at all but of course I feel a little pathetic sometimes when I root so bad against him, make fun of him constantly etc. All of us are the ones sitting at home doing nothing and it is a little pathetic that we are pretty much celebrating because of him and the Heat losing. I'd say that's a little more ridiculous than the comments he made

A very humble celebration.. I couldn't imagine how LeBron would of acted if he had ended up winning.

Dirk didn't even hang around on the court.  They are the anti=grandstand team to be sure.
