Well, I'm not really sure what this does to our rotation, but I'm glad to see Delonte back in green and I hope he does well.

If there was ANY truth to the DWest and Lebron's mom rumor, this signing is worth it purely from a "wow thats awesome" standpoint.

Agreed. LOL. TP.
Carl: And, technically, he's supposed to be spayed, and uh, he ain't that. I know that first hand. Go ahead, ask me how I know. Go ahead. Ask me. Ask me how I know.

Delonte will be a very good addition to our team.
I agree.  I would hope that he has spent this last year getting his meds under contol and will feel welcome back in Boston...to help us win Banner #18!  I like Delonte and as has been stated, Quis can back Pierce for short stretches while we look for a bigger SF...(hopefully getting Harangody a few minutes...sooner or later  ;D )

2nd unit of Nate, Delonte, and Quisy would feature 3 ball handlers, possibly allowing more fast break opportunities, as each of them can push the ball up the floor.  This might allow the 2nd unit to run on the break, in spite of having Shaq.  Recall the showtime fakers had Kareem, who not only didn't run on the break, he often didn't make it past half-court.

Good deal.

Quotes from Danny:

Quote
"Delonte has been one of my favorite players that I enjoyed watching in my time here with the Celtics," Ainge told the Globe. "He is a competitor and we're all aware (of his issues) and we've done a lot of checks and had a lot of conversation with Delonte and his people and we obviously have a long history with Delonte also and we think he can help us win."

The Celtics already have 14 guaranteed contracts and it's unlikely they would add a 15th with West, who received $500,000 from a buyout from the Minnesota Timberwolves, who acquired him in July from Cleveland. West is expected to sign a make-good contract that would be guaranteed if he remains on the roster by January.

"It was difficult when we traded Delonte," Ainge said. "It wasn't easy. We liked him. He was well-received by our fans, by our coaches and well-received by our teammates because he's a guy who gives all he's got every night. Delonte's had some challenges off the court and I feel that right now that some of those challenges have given him some pretty serious wake-up calls. I think he's actually in a better place today than when he left us a few years ago."

I thought that last sentence was really interesting.  It hints at troubles that Delonte was having in Boston.

hmmm von wafer, glen davis and semih arden in a trade can get us what?

It can get us a year with no back up for Kevin Garnett.
davis is our only good trade asset
he is not a future starter on a good celtics team
kg backup can be jermaine & luke if we can get a good sf
I should add if going after a good sf, marquis name can be added to list but again davis is probably the only guy we are willing to give up that other teams would have interest in

Good signing for you guys, although I don't know who's going to step up into the perimeter defender role that Tony Allen filled last year.

You were actually the first person I thought of when I heard this news, Edgar.

The 2nd was LeCrab's mother.

Hahaha, Delonte is crazy like a fox!

As long as we don't end up with "crazy like a disgruntled postal employee" then we can call it a win!!
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.
