sorry, but a team that has 4 all star calibur players in their lineup, with serviceable players like brad miller and delonte (and perk mid season), doesnt seem that far fetched they would be a great team.

i was told to post my vote by KC in this thread.  are we supposed to do that?

i have no problem posting it, but i dont want people grilling me why i voted the way i do causing petty drama bc their feelings are all hurt bc i didnt vote a particular team as high as they thought it should be.

It's completely optional.  If you don't want to discuss your picks, I'd say just keep it secret.

I was intending to show enthusiasm for the idea, not demanding it. Do what you feel like DL!

oh, i know.  i understand u guys put a lot of time and energy into it so u want to know what other people think, especially outsiders not involved in the process.

screw it.....here it is, lol.

12. CLE
13. BOS
14. NJ
15. PHI

Western Conf.
1. LA CLIPS
2. PHX

Really Surprised by Toronto in first place.  Most people dont have them making the playoffs.  Even their Gm admits they have a substantial lack of depth.  Really interesting.
I find it interesting most people don't have them making the playoffs, I didn't know that was the consensus.  They're a good team, I hope people aren't way overrating depth.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I don't know. I think depth is very important. Having a great defense, great rebounding, great starting five and great depth can't all happen on one team, usually, but if I wanted to have three of those four, depth wouldn't be the one I trade in. And I REALLY believe to be a champion you need three of those four.

I think somebody thats a fan of the celtics should understand how important depth is for a starting lineup that consists of Perk, Ray, and Paul.  Perk due to his injury and Ray and Paul due to age.

Course Maybe he is a year behind in his voting and he was really voting for the Toronto team that included

Andre Miller
Francisco Garcia
Ron Artest
Kevin Garnett
Marcus Camby

sry dl, wasn't saying your opinion is wrong...just that it was expected. in a way though you validated my point calling ray + paul all stars....i didn't think either played like one last year until the playoffs.

once again, not saying its wrong, just that I disagree with it..which is kinda what makes this game worthwhile. disagreeing, that is...and trying to make others see your point.

You didn't think Paul Pierce deserved to be an all-star last year?  19/5/3 before the break, shooting 47% overall and 45% from three?

Given the other SFs in the East I think he absolutely deserved it at the time. By years end if I had to re vote for the All-Stars in the East he might have been a fringe All-Star. He was definitely a much lesser player after the ASG.

Probably because he was tired.  And why you couldnt log into CB without reading a thread about getting a backup for Pierce

I think fans would have been fine with a Udoka / Pondexter tandem behind Pierce.  The problem was, the Celtics had literally nobody there after Marquis went down.
