I've given feedback and win projections to the best of my ability for most teams.  So, now I hope I can get some in return.  :)

Indiana Pacers:

PG: Derek Fisher
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Mickael Pietrus
PF: Tyrus Thomas
C:  Marc Gasol

Bench:
PG:    Jonny Flynn
Wing:  Kyle Korver
Big:   Nenad Krstic

I really really like my starting unit.  This starting unit was build around solid defense with 2 good offensive players who can create their own shots.  My backcourt doesn't need much selling.  Fisher and Kobe have played together, fit well together, and have gone to 3 straight Finals together.  Both are above average defenders for their position, while Fisher could struggle with uber-quick pg's who can shoot.  Pietrus is an athletic, strong defensive, good shooting who was drafted to defend all-star 3's, spread the floor, and make good cuts when Gasol gets the ball down low.  I think he will fit in with this team similar to how Ariza did in LA.  Tyrus Thomas is an athletic PF defender who is a great help shot blocker and rebounder.  Marc Gasol likes to play aggressive defense on bigs and can block shots as well.

Offensively, I'd like to get Gasol a lot of touches early in the game.  He's incredibly efficient (14.6 ppg on 58% shooting) and also a great (and very underrated) passer from the low post.  He has 3 good shooters in the backcourt and Ty Thomas is athletic and a good finisher to make any defense pay that doubles off of him.  Kobe will undoubtedly get his share of touches early, but I'd like to save the bulk of his energy for the 4th quarter.

Jonny Flynn will get all the backup pg minutes, which should be plentiful given Fisher's age.  He showed in his first year in the league that he can score the ball (13.5ppg in under 30 min) and hopefully will improve upon that efficiency and will be relied on for some scoring when Fisher/Kobe are resting.  Korver is here to do one thing:  spread the floor for Kobe and nail 3's.  Career 41% 3 point shooter and actually shot a ridiculous career best 59/110 (54%!) in 52 games last season.  Nenad Krstic isn't the toughest cookie, but can play either PF or C (7' tall) and provides additional offense needed when Gasol is out of the game.  I like that all my bigs are decent offensive rebounders also.

Thoughts?  Projections?  Thanks for reading!

Sorry, I'm not sold on Hickson. He has to have that prove it to me year before I give him the starting nod on a team that has the ability that your wings and back court does. I think the frontcourt will be this teams downfall as you will get little to no offense from it on a nightly basis.

I think Lucky is right, Hickson will start this season at the 4 for Cleveland, and he might very well be a 18 and 8 player.

But, Nick has a real point. How good is JJ Hickson going to be for 82 games? As a starting forward last season he only put up 8.2 PPG, and only scored at a 18.9 per48mins clip.

I've got a lot of players, guys. Like, real large amount.

C: Dwight Howard/ Greg Monroe
PF: Antawn Jamison
SF: John Salmons/Hedo Turkoglu/Travis Outlaw
SG: Wesley Matthews/Rudy Fernandez
PG: Baron Davis

Probably see some of Hedo & Monroe at the 4. For what it's worth, I think those are 9 players with NBA-talent.

Definitely a luxury tax team with a bloated payroll already surpassing $70 million.

I see a logjam at the 2/3 similar to the current Pistons, and an Antawn Jamison who simply can't guard anyone in the low post. I would like your squad a lot more if you freed up the logjam for a cheaper big man who adds to your front court depth.

PG Curry
SH Roy
SF Beasley
PF Smith
C Chandler

can i get comments/suggestions on this potential unit.
I love the Curry/Roy backcourt. Excellent.

Chandler is a good, defensive minded center that can rebounder if you have one of those PFs that can be the scorer in the front court.

My problem is with Smith and Beasley. They are kind of the same player only one is a bit more clear headed and established than the other. They are both combo forwards and really will have trouble against the bigger, interior PFs and the fast, athletic, quick SF. On nights they will be great. On others, you will have a disaster on your hands.

Your other problem is we are through 7 rounds and you have 5 players. There's very little in the way of 6th men left to draft and very shortly only 9th and 10th player types will be left. You are going to have an extremely weak bench and come voting time, that will cost you dearly.

Hickson over a $13 million Jamison? I beg to differ.

I like this team.  Even though they are widely considered similar players, I'd like this team much more if you had Rashard as your PF though.  He's a more accurate 3 point shooter (career 39% vs. 33%) and more athletic while sacrificing rebounding.  But Dwight will take care of all the rebounding anyways haha.  I'd definitely start Hedo over Salmons.  I like the scoring Salmons can bring off the bench.  You need Hedo starting in there to take a lot of shots that way B-Diddy doesn't jack too many.  I personally would go with more of an offense running pg than B-Diddy on this specific team.  I love Baron, but not sure if he fits well on this type of team.  Very solid shooting guards.

Team reminds me a lot of the current day Orlando Magic. I very good team that is just short of championship quality.

Wow, I like this squad a lot: Solid veteran PG with a nice apprentice, superstar scoring SG, lock-down SF with a shooter off the bench and a nice complimentary front court with length.

In my eyes, at least a Conference championship team.

I've read press releases, both with Antawn Jamison stating that he would be okay returning to the sixth man role, and Byron Scott saying JJ Hickson is going to be integral to their style next season.

I've also read that Scott intends to give Jamison serious minutes at the 3.

Its pretty much the assumption that Hickson is starting..assuming he doesn't flop training camp.

How do these Lakers compare to the pre-Gasol Lakers in your eyes?  What about post-Gasol?

Remember, the pre-Gasol Lakers had an injured Bynum. Through 7 rounds I like this squad and think the core 8 man rotation is great. Another veteran big would help though.

I haven't read that but I'll take your word for it. I can't imagine Jamison content with coming off the bench for a sub .500 team, though.

Trade that needs to happen:

Brandon Jennings
Mike Miller
Lebron James
Ersan Ilyasova
Joakim Noah

I know, I know. Forever it will be known as "the trade". You guys have your opinions on it, I have mine..its done now. Now this is my team.

In my eyes...
Random thoughts on offense: Ilyasova and Miller are both elite 3pt shooters for their respective positions. Jennings and James are both at their best when they are driving, and Noah is mobile and explosive enough to be a fantastic pick and roll player to the rim. Not 20 points per game fantastic, but good enough to get his 10+ a night. James and Jennings are both about average, with Jennings at 37% and James at 33%. This inside-out dynamic I feel will allow for minimum clogging in the lane to stop LeBron and Jennings from driving, and good spacing on the floor. I wish Noah had a better post game, but he's not exactly inept either.
