What does danny have to fix exactly ?? Look at the picks he has to work with, something has to give.

Would you rather draft a guy who fits the mold of being a sf etc or a guy who doesnt fit the image but can play.

Would you have big baby or dan gadruzic as  your pf? Every team in the nba would take big baby though he is only like 6'7

Avery at 6'6 or Luke with some more quickness and athletism would have been easily higher picks

Luke is suppose to be a hard working guy who gets the job done. Its not pretty but he works extremely hard, can score and looks to have high basketball iq

He could be a very good guy coming off the bench and getting you points in a hurry

Being a huge BE basketball fan, this is a terrible pick. People will point out the numbers but the fact of the matter is he took so many shots per game it inflated his stats tremendously... No one on the ND team could rebound either so he had to pull them down...

The Harangutang is awful and I hope he never gets to wear a celtics jersey.

The thing is, all the "potential" that might've been there instead of Luke likely won't pan out.  More importantly, most players at 50+ aren't going to pan out anyway. 

I like how he stuck to his philosophy: draft players who are flawed physically but have game rather than the physically gifted who can't play basketball.

I don't think Luke has any less chance of being a productive player off the bench than BBD did. The difference being that Luke knows how to rebound from the get go. BBD has shown his value, and I think there are a lot of similarities here. Let's see what we have before we knock the guy. You don't put up the numbers he did in the big east without having some game.

The same type of thinking that went into drafting Leon Powe and Ryan Gomes went into taking Luke Harangody (olders guys with big numbers who are in between positions for the NBA).  You are drafting at straws this late in the draft no matter what but it is hard to question the approach (unless you think Powe and Gomes were bad picks too).

The thing is if he beats out Sheldon Williams, you will have to call this pick a success.  You can't really expect anything more can you?
