Wow just skimmed through some posts..

Scals replica ... drool

Not making the team ... 0% chance he doesn't

Let's just say I disagree with both.  It's too bad he didn't play for Connecticut there would have been posters clamoring for him to be taken in the 1st round.

Crafty , Old School , fundamental, consistent are some words that can describe this kid. He has a lethal right hook that other than maybe Gasol nobody in the nba knows how to use.

He has a short neck but really has arm length of a 6'10 guy.

If he keeps it up during the summer leagues danny should sign him.

better than scal by a mile

Nice first summer league game. I am scared to death of the form on that outside shot. It is a block waiting to happen. He does seem to have a decent understanding of the game. He knows how to get open so far. Need to see some defense. I will also need to see a few more summer league and pre season games before I jump on the Harangody bandwagon.

Matt Harpring.  Same build and similar jumpshot range.  Doesn't mind getting his nose dirty.  Opportunistic scorer.  Heady.

Was Matt Harpring really that big? I remember him being much quicker than Gody but smaller too. Maybe I'm just picking nits.

I think Harpring was slightly less muscular, but about the same height.  However Harpring had a better deep range touch and better handling and passing skills.  He was a legit 3 when healthy.  Luke reminds me more of Ryan Gomes, as his game will be more focused in the NBA on weak side post, offensive glass, and spot up 3's.  I loved his help D today, he seems to already have a feel for straddling the pick and roll which is the hallmark of our defensive system.

getting a PF that can score 20! that's awesome. he looks very confident and smart out there. i was very impressed. As far as the Bonner and Scal comparison... its crazy, this kid can move very well and to me he looks like a heavier Luke babbitt. He tries on defense, but that can be fixed. If he shoots the ball like this all the time, then i think there is a roster spot ready for him.

Bonners twin?

Does he have the same range? I know he can hit the mid range jummper. I'm asking I don't know much about him.

He was knocking down the 3 ball today like he was Ray Allen's shooting coach.

While he has a low release point and virtually no elevation on his jumper, he makes up for it with a really quick release. And plus he has a running hook! Tommy is gunna have an on air orgasm when this guy gets in the game.

I haven't seen the game yet but saw the box score of today's SL game. For those that followed college basketball, they probably can't say they are too surprised. I know I'm not.

Harangody played against some big time college talent and great teams in his 4 years at Notre Dame. He can get it done versus talent that is on par with his and reading over the box score, that is what he was playing against. It's no wonder he pumped in 20+ points.

My concerns with him will come when he has to perform against NBA level talent. I can see him becoming very Ryan Gomes like in his game though he might be a better rebounder.

Thanks. I saw the box score i just didn't know if it was a fluke or he actually can stroke it like that.

Bonners twin?

Shorter Bonner (best case scenario) was my thinking as well.  Not sure that a shorter Matt Bonner is a major impact player in this league, but I suppose we'll see.

The word from Thorpe on Game 1 seemed to be that Harangody looked like a roster player, if not a rotation player.
