Zverev wins his first major. The French Open is also where he destroyed his ankle a few years back, tearing 6 ligaments with 2 broken bones. Fitting that he breaks through in Paris.

Djokovic made it to the semis of Wimbledon and is about to face Sinner. Match will be starting soon. It really is amazing what Novak is still doing at 39 years old.

I caught a little bit of his last match and was thinking about how tennis (and golf) have had some amazing and memorable late career runs by some of their greats.  Always fun to see.

On a side note, if you have HBO check out the doc on Chris Evert & Martina Navratilova.

Will have to check it out. Strokes of Genius about Nadal and Federer was incredible. Believe it?s on Prime video and/or Apple TV.

Hoping Zverev can put up a decent fight in this Wimbledon Final today. Prefer that Sinner wins, but I?d like to see a good match.

An American man has not won the US Open(or any major) since Andy Roddick back in 2003, but that may change this year.

23 year old Ben Shelton outlasted 7 time grand slam winner Carlos Alcaraz in a 5 set thriller that ended at 3:30am today. Shelton has the athleticism and firepower(serves up to 150mph) to beat anyone. I don?t think there has been a US tennis player with this kind of talent since Pete Sampras.

You?re right. They need to stop putting everyone on Ashe at this stage of the tournament. Both women?s matches went 3 sets yesterday and the guys went 5. Tiafoe match which was on before the Pegula/Navarro was nearly 5 hours long. I made it till 1:30am and I?m paying for it today. Coffee can only do so much haha. Some incredible points; just wish I could have seen the whole thing.

Turned this off when Shelton lost the first set tiebreak. Exciting to have an American in the final again.

Still very bummed Tien blew it against Khachanov. He would have had a real chance.
