Ok your right the point is that warner is better than Eli, sorry for getting off topic

yeah definitely -- and mcnabb too. and don't forget aaron rodgers. would you trade manning for both of them too?

Please stop dodging my points and just coming back with sarcastic remarks.  In what way is Eli Manning better than Warner?

1) younger
2) won the same amount of Super Bowls
3) has never lost a job in the NFL
4) has never missed the playoffs as a day 1 starter
5) can handle NY

Im sorry I meant when you look at on field performance, not irrelevant facts  Would you say that eli is better than tom Brady because he is younger, has never missed the playoffs?

i'm sorry buddy but i'm done here i think. this is like debating the celtics with a nuggets fan.

if you think warner would be better for the giants, than you just don't know that much about the giants. and why should you? you're and pats fan and you don't like the giants.

from now on if i want to talk about eli manning with people who know, i'll remember not to do it on a new england basketball blog.

ask a giants fan if they think eli's worth the money their paying him. few will have a problem with it.

They will win 8 games this year, because ELi cannot win without an elite WR, unlike Tom Brady.  End of story

Proof?

Or just bias opinion?

Still waiting.

Um I replied..

Didnt somebody say that he was 1-4 without burress and he didnt throw a TD to a WR after Burress left, and now Toomer is gone too.  And the running game will be hurt even more this year with ward being gone and I have yet to see Jacobs hold up for a full year.  Which puts more pressure on Eli and he will be exposed

those 5 things you just mentioned make Eli better than most the QB's in the NFL.  So whose to say he dont deserve 97.5 million?  He won a super bowl and we are in debt tohim he deserves every penny.
The NBA..where "this whole sport is a business and the referees decide games and David Stern is a snake and is only in this for the money" happens.

Sir my point from the get go was that he is better than Eli You said I should stick to basketball after that.  You have yet to provide any evidence that he is better than Warner

No you're right. Warner's much better -- And the Giants should trade for him to improve their chances of winning it all.

And then the entire organization should just set itself on fire because it would be the stupidist trade in the history of the NFL.

Well, if you did any research, you will see the Giants are 4-3 without him.  (2-0 when he is just out with an injury and not the huge shot himself in the leg distraction)

Manning has thrown in those games 6 TDs and 4 INTs.

Now, the Giants coaches can adjust the offense for the WRs not name Burress from the get go instead of trying to have them run route designed for Burress.

No, I ranked Brady 1st, even though Payton has better overall numbers.

Something about winning multiple titles.

wdleehi, since we're here -- who on the list would you trade eli for? Much as it would be tempting to add brady, he's considerable older in terms of age and games, and with the giants young overall core (including receivers), they have the potential to be a powerhouse with eli for a number of years. but, if tom recovers well from the knee, he should have 4, 5 good years left if not more.

to me, peyton is too old with his best years behind him, and no one else on the list is even debatable. eli is just too good at drowning out the haters and the distractions of the big stage. i want the guy who is truly unconsious, not the guy who can't stay out of his own way (rothlisbargord) or the angry guy (rivers).

Giants can't trade him.  Think of the cap hit.

I would take Brady.  I would probably take Payton except he really isn't that good in the playoffs (look at how bad his Super Bowl run numbers are).  I don't trust Big Ben off the field (driving his bike without a helmet after that accident, lawsuit).  River has been on one of the most talented teams in the NFL and gotten nowhere.

I saw Warner in NY already.  No need for that again.
