I do not classify a supportive player with a good attitude, work ethic and realistic outlook of his own talent as a "scrub". That person would be more of an asset than Player X (Michael Redd?) sulking on the bench because he's not on the floor down the stretch.

True.  Because guys like Ryan Gomes, Brad Miller, etc. don't have good work ethics and good attitudes.

When has Michael Redd not been a class act?  Type "Michael Redd attitude" into google.  Please.

I know Redd in an alter boy and that's not my point. Your talking in circles  and making excuses when its very simple: Define roles and breakdown the minutes. Otherwise I have more questions than necessary.

What do you want?  "Delonte West will be playing 25.2 minutes per game, as the 2nd man off the bench?"

Haha. touche' Somthing to think about I guess.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
OK, fire away;

PG: Tony Parker/ Mo Williams
SG:Rudy Fernandez/ Daequann Cook
SF: Wilson Chandler/ Omri Casspi
PF: Boris Diaw/ DJ White
C: Brook Lopez/ Andrea Bargnani

Solid team, a little young, but Parker brings some championship experience, and Diaw has been in high pressure situations. Not a chip contender but possible mid to late seed playoff.

I think we win our division and that goes a long way to us making the playoffs. Also, I think we're front runners for team of the future. I was amazed how similar Gay and Rudy's numbers were.

Rudy Gay: 19 ppg , 5.5 boards, 1.7 assts , 1.2 stl , 1 blk
Chandler; 14 ppg, 5.4 boards, 2.1 assts, 1 stl, 1 blk.

And Chandler is a year younger.

I haven't analyzed your division yet, but I like the trade for you a lot.  As IP says, they're a little young, but you definitely got significantly better.

My only question:  is Mo the type of guy who is okay with coming off the bench?  He seems like a bit of a loud mouth.

He came off the bench in Milwaukee for extended periods, I think he can handle it.  The backcourt looks good, it's just the frontcourt I'm worried about.  Poor Brook Lopez is gonna get lonely in the middle, although he'll pull down a tone of rebounds if he's playing alongside Diaw and Bargs.

With Tony and Chandler, I like having Diaw and Bargs unclogging the middle and letting those two have open driving lanes. They also give room for Lopez to use any of his arsenal of post moves. Also, Bargs is an underrated help defender and you ignore how useful Diaw is with a driving point guard. His passing and shooting ability helped make Phoenix as good as they were. And he was the big reason Charlotte improved after that trade, those same abilities gave Felton a weapon and made more room in the post for Okafor.

A good point, a lot of good athletes on a team that can run, that's for sure.  Scoring won't be a problem.  Add some more depth and defensive minded players (especially in the front court, since Lopez can't do it all) and I think you'll be a lot better off.  Additionally, the Rudy Gay trade was masterful, I think that improved you considerably.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Roy when I see your team I see the 2003-2004 Los Angeles Lakers

Horace Grant
Karl Malone
Gary Payton
Rick Fox
Byron Russell
Shaq
Kobe
Devean George
Ime Udoka
Derek Fischer

Yeah ten deep and all talented....at one point. But I lot of that talent was old and got slow and tired and injured fast and were on the serious downside of their careers.

And it didn't work out to well for that team as they completely blew it up because they realized their mistake.

Sorry dude. That Laker team went deep and faltered. I think your team will too.

Criticism is fine.  However, I think our team is a little more talented than the Lakers were; Malone and Payton were broken down at that point.  Also, if Kobe didn't choke, they would have been fine.
You don't see a parallel between the two teams with Shaq, Jermaine, Manu and Bibby all being on the downside of their careers and falling off very fast like Malone, Payton, Fox, Grant and Russell did that year.

The pre=season before that team played there was little talk of age or faltering games of players. It was all about the talent and depth and they all swore they would get along. I guess they did get along in the end, kinda, maybe(see Kobe/Shaq). But it was the age and declining games that cost that team.

You have said repeatedly that people aren't giving any real criticism about your team other than injury possibility and playing time. Well here's one....declining abilities and the possibility that it costs the team over the course of the season, and there's a prime example, the 2004 Lakers.

I think the similarities are scary similar except that you really don't have 2 dominant stars in their prime like the Lakers had with Kobe and Shaq.

We've given you our nine-man rotation.  We've told you that they'll be playing 25 - 30 minutes each per game.  What do you want?  "Delonte West will be playing 25.2 minutes per game, as the 2nd man off the bench?"

I even wonder if it would be in your best interest to to package Mo and another player to upgrade our wing position maybe.

Let's compare the players you're talking about, nick:

Karl Malone: 40 years old
Gary Payton: 35 years old
Rick Fox: 34 years old, coming off a season averaging 9.0 points
Byron Russell:  33 years old, had averaged 4.5 points the year before
Devean George: Had averaged 6.9 points the year before
Ime Udoka: rookie who played all of 8 minutes that season
Derek Fischer: 28 years old, had averaged 10.5 points the year before

The Lakers were much older, and much less talented, outside of their top two players.

Their top two are better than any top-two in the NBA, real or fake, period.  However, Kobe choked, and they lost.

I don't see a viable comparison between that team and ours.  They were much older, and they had a different structure.

That being said, they still made the NBA Finals, before Kobe choked.

Which is why we drafted proven clutch guys like Manu, rather than chokers like Kobe.   ;D

Hinrich losing control of the ball.  But, if you think that was a pass, he's welcome to make as many off-balance, flailing passes as he wants against us.

You bite your tongue talking about Delonte West like that. Delonte is the man, regardless of where he plays in real life or in the CBNBA ;D
