I still can't fathom that the Paul George trade was *the best* one the Celtics could have made. We sure they couldn't have waited and gotten a better offer, it seemed rushed. And yes, Jaylen being in Philly certainly seemed to push Lebron to go there too. Kind of a double whammy. But even so, if the C's got more assets back like Edgecomb too then whatever. Paul George?? Sorry but that's still depressing to me.
Brad Stevens also didn't sound certain during his press conference discussing the trade. Not even the kind of reaction you'd have if you knew you were taking a gamble, more like a "uh oh I may have goofed" moment and he didn't really deny it either saying he "hopes" the trade works out and even the optionality word he kept throwing out there felt like a "safe word" to hide behind his actions to further escape the actual ramifications and reactions.
