I just want a decision now. Yes or no. If yes, I'm excited to have him. If no, several free agents have signed already, so it's about time to sign a decent backup wing.

I'm right there with you.  I'm Tanguay/Hill fatigued at this point.
Yah im REALLY tired of this Tanguay/Hill thing. I just want it to end already.

I think he ends up signing with us unless he decides he doesn't want to move and stays in Phoenix.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Grant Hill ain't coming here, it's too cold, he is a warm weather guy. Sounds too simple, just remember that I said it.
Looking at my gucci, and it's about that time...

I will in fact write it down in my diary so that I can credit you when it happens.

No, it's clearly Gary Tanguay's half brother, Emilio Esteves.

What I want to know is, how can they be "progressing"?

It's a pretty simple conversation:  "Grant, the most we can offer you is 2 years and roughly $4 million.  What do you think?"

I mean, there's absolutely nothing to negotiate.  It's a take-it-or-leave-it thing.

There are sign and trade possibilities.

I can't imagine that Phoenix would want to take back salary from us, though.

i could see PHX being interested in TA or Scal and maybe a pick and / or cash. Hill may be pushing both PHX and the Cs, neither of whom want to walk away with nothing at the hands of the lowly Knicks. I wouldn't put a deal of that nature past Kerr -- one that allows Hill to make, say, 3.5mil a year for 3 years with the Cs, and nets PHX a flier or two.

Exactly right IMO, ssspence. They (Phoenix) may even want to add more to the deal in the form of another contract from their end.

TA, Scal, Giddens, a future pick, and cash for Hill and Barbosa would work.

I know, I'm dreaming. I actually think the time delay thing with Hill is him and his agent shopping for contract length as well as amount. As much as I want him on our bench, I cant blame him for that. If he wants PT and a chance at the ring, he will get much more here than NY or Phoenix, otherwise he would rather have the money than the Championship. Hard to believe.

Come on, guys.  Phoenix isn't going to take back the salary of mediocre-to-poor players for a late draft pick (they sell theirs, remember?) and they're not going to dump one of their few commodities for Tony and Scal.

Taking back some of our expiring deals along with Giddens or Walker and a couple of second round picks might be attractive to them.

Mike

Why?  Why take back an expiring contract, when they can just clear Hill's salary for free?  They're close (or over) the luxury tax -- they don't want to take back any salary at all.

And why would the want second round picks?  Heck, they don't even want *first* round picks.

You got lucky once Tanguay... nobody buys your act.
