This reminds me of that San Diego Padre (can't remember his name) who refused to approve a trade to the Sox last year. Another guy, like Grant Hill, who will finish his career as a loser.

That would be Mr. Brian Giles.
that's odd I watched the world series and didn't see the sox or padres in it.  Did I miss something?

Seriously as I posted in a different thread there is only 1 reason to go to Boston.  There are a ton of reasons to go to NY or stay at Phoenix.

More Money
Bigger Role
More Comfort in the System
Better City
Happier Home Life

If Hill is satisfied with his playing career and the ring isn't the be all end all for him, why on earth would he come to Boston?  If there is a gaping hole is his career because he lacks a ring, then he should come to Boston.
needs to be said again.  and frankly reading this thread i'm so glad I have never lived in boston.

One of my buddies worked for the Pistons way back in the day and he said Grant Hill is one of the biggest jerks in the NBA and his wife is even worse.  My buddy grew up in Detroit during the 80's and the Pistons were his favorite team.

I am glad he is not coming to Boston we have to many good guys and good teammates.  Grant Hill will forever be remembered for robbing the Orlando Magic of $90mm dollars and playing on losing teams.

Apparently you did. Giles could've potentially been a difference maker for a team that finished 1 win away from the World Series.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...
