There is no way that any of us can get inside the mind of Grant Hill.  By all appearances, this is a great guy who is well thought of by the majority of the league.  If he, for whatever reason, goes a different route then fine.  I'm not going to hate on him...I just won't understand it.
Everyone has their own level of ability to empathize with others who hold different views. Can't fault you for that.

Grant Hill ain't coming here, it's too cold, he is a warm weather guy. Sounds too simple, just remember that I said it.
Is this Gary Tanguay?

No, it's clearly Gary Tanguay's half brother, Emilio Esteves.

HAHA TP for that. I certainly don't blame anybody for being skeptical about my post. I wouldn't take it seriously either if someone else had posted it. But I have said this a couple times in various threads, but I have a small business relationship with Grant Hill. I know him a little bit, and I know his family a bit better. He is a stern family man, his family is happy where they are, and they are inclined to stay. As others have said, Tamia has sacrificed her career to raise their kids, and is enticed by the glitz and glamour of NYC. Plus, they offer the most money. Grant, I'm sure is intrigued by playing for the Celtics and having a chance at a ring, but I doubt that he is intrigued enough to come here, and uproot his family. He is a warm weather guy, and didn't like playing in Detroit all that much. Again, hopefully I am wrong, and he changes his mind. But in my past dealings with him, he was not all that interested in coming to play here.

So, take it for what its worth, I certainly don't blame anyone for not buying what I'm selling.  8)

If he chooses his family over Boston, which would mean staying in Phoenix, that would be admirable. However, if he does this, it would put a permanent stamp on his career as being a loser. If he chooses New York, there is really nothing to say, except that he would be looked at as caring about nothing but money. Let's face it: His wife's singing career isn't going to magically happen for her because she's in New York. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. You know how many brilliant singers there are in New York who haven't hit it big? There are plenty of places to sing in every city. If you've got skill, you've got skill. Location means little difference, because the people will come to you. I once flew across the world to see a band from Iceland.

He also didn't think that the Cs would land Sheed.... in fact, I think he said "no chance".

Good point. Tanguay said as of 1230am Boston was still in the mix. Bucher may know something...I have a feeling he's right.

No one is going to be surprised when Hill picks The Green (money).

Interesting since I feel if Ray Allen can exist in that locker room, so could Grant Hill.  They seem to have a similar demeanor.

What New York offers Tamia that other places do not is the convenience of oppurtunity. With Grant always on the road, and her at home in AZ, its hard for her to get out to try and work. In addition, she has already had a fairly succesful career, its not as if she is some girl with talent who thinks she can sing. New York offers her the oppurtunity of playing a show at night, and taking care of her kids in the day. Plus, they are an up and coming team (at least in theory, haha), which can offer more money than Phoenix or Boston. For someone like Grant, this isn't as important as other guys, but to dismiss it entirely as being irrelevant, is a stretch as well.

just re-signed w/ the suns, per yahoo/rotoworld:

Grant Hill has decided to re-sign with the Phoenix Suns, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.
The report also states that Hill made the decision in part because he felt comfortable that the Suns would be able to sign Steve Nash, and that he is comfortable with the direction of the team.

[dang]! I'm disappointed... but at least now we are fixed and can move on. Good luck to Hill in Phoenix.

Good luck to Grant and his family. I respect the decision to say in Phoenix, but I guess he has no interest in ever winning a championship. I heard Doc this morning on 'eei and he did not sound optimistic about Grant, so this is no surprise. Who is next for the Pierce backup?
