well grant..you showed me you true colors...money over being a champion

To be honest, I can't blame him.  When this is probably his last contract, and there is that much of a disparity in the dollars, plus his wife wants to live in NY (not to mention, his ex-coach, who he liked playing for is there)...its really hard to go against that.  Hill has always been a classy guy, and I am not going to question his "true colors" because of this.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
danny needs to move on...hill, parker and jones are gone...honestly who is a legit wing left? barnes? if they cant find a wing...the c's are in the same boat as last season...PP dead by the eastern conf finals

We couldn't afford Jones, and that will likely prove to be the case with Parker, too.  I can't blame Danny for picking Rasheed over the two of them.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Bad news for us.  We have very limited options if Grant Hill signs with the Knicks.
Udoka, Mason, Barnes, Marvin Williams, Linas Kleiza, Von Wafer, Marquis Daniels, Fred Jones, Jamario Moon, Bobby Jackson, Rodney Carney, Joey Graham.
Williams, Moon and Kleiza are restricted free agents so they would need to come in a sign and trade.
Bowen and Stackhouse will also be bought out.
So we have a decent amount of options still.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

we really should have signed Ross with the LLE or Vet Min. What about a sign and trade for Jamario Moon?

Completely pointless move on NY's part too.  Why bring in a 36/37 yr old when you are nowhere near competing for a championship?  Pointless.

I hope he decides one way or the other by today.  The remaining talent pool thins out by the day.

It may end up that we fill the backup 3 via trade anyway.

True, but I think Danny will do the same as 2 seasons ago: After Reggie declined to sign, he immediately went out and agreed to terms with Posey the very next day. He has his list, and he knows who to turn to after Parker, Ross and Jones were signed. I'm thinkg of Udoka/Barnes/Bogans.

Well let's hope the decision, whatever it is, is made soon. I'm sick of waiting on this guy and his wife. We need to get going..

What are we signing and trading for him?  I doubt Miami wants any of our scraps, and their roster is already full of expiring contracts.
