Porzingis isn't on the injury report. So we'll see. I'd like to think he can at least give us 25-30 minutes and not be a "part-time player" again. And if he can't, frankly they might be better off giving Queta or someone else at least a shot and shut down KP

Anyone have any idea what kind of illness comes and goes and lingers like this?

Queta against M Robinson would be interesting. Not sure M Robinson has enough quality to create an advantage for NYC.

The problem with that matchup is that Robinson has no reason to respect Queta on offense.  He?s free to just park his ass between our ball handler and the rim, and he?s a very impactful defender when allowed to do that.

Yeah I think that's a wrap with KP. Whatever he's dealing with, he's gonna be very limited. Might just need to pray and rely on Kornet to fill in consistently

The fact that he's out there getting minutes is positive in my book. I'm hoping he'll gain strength and timing if he can string consecutive games together.

This is the 2nd straight year where the guy just can't give them much in the playoffs. He'll be an expiring contract this summer and moving him could save the C's something like 200+ million in Salary+tax. Got to wonder if he's the odd man out.

I appreciate the fact that he's fighting through something, but at some point a 30+ million dollar player needs to give you more.

Sure, but you just wish he'd do more. Like if Porzingis was out there healthy and being Porzingis, Knicks wouldn't stand any chance at all. KAT can't stop him and even Robinson would have trouble. Thankfully Kornet has filled in nicely for now.

Have to take matching salary back so not going to save anywhere close to that much in a trade.

On ABC?s pregame coverage, NBA insider Shams Charania detailed a little more with how Porzingis has tried to battle through.

?It?s led to him having energy zaps and stamina ebbs and flows over the last couple of months, and he felt that he had actually turned the corner right as the playoffs started in mid-April,? Charania said. ?But in his own words, he had a crash right before Game 1 of this series, and he?s tried a lot of different things to try to mitigate the side effects. I?m told he?s been receiving IVs, immune boosters.

?He?s even changed up his sleep patterns to try to get more rest. He?s essentially waking up ...every day, hoping and praying that he feels better.?

That doesn't sound good, as in it could be something that's long term and involves being immunocompromised. Hoping for the best with KP.

Being immunocompromised doesn't mean you look outwardly sick or feverish, but you definitely feel weaker and if you do contract an illness, the severity of it is typically more than a normal person. Like if a normal person has a minor sickness, it's all good and can go away in a day or two, but for someone immunocompromised the symptoms and duration are more severe.

The problem though if one is immunocompromised is, it's easy to contract the illness or infection. So maybe they are being very careful with KP as to where he goes besides the basketball court and what he eats or where he eats.

Luke was a decent three point shooter early in his career. I really wanna see him take some threes when wide open. KP had a nice defensive game but I really hope him playing doesn?t aggravate whatever he?s going through. He?s clearly not his usual self.

He can. At least he used to before Boston - his best season he shot 36% on 4 attempts a game. Unlike everyone else, he's definitely not encouraged to build his 3-point game.

I have no reason to completely abandon hope on KP. I'm still believing.
