How many teams in the league did absolutely nothing? The Blazers and the Magic are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

So the Bucks are

G: Lillard, Kevin Porter
G: A Jackson Jr, G Trent Jr, AJ Green
F: Taureen Green, Pat Connaughton
F: Giannis, Kuzma
C: B Lopez, B Portis

SG position still lacks a solid two way player. A defender / rebounder in Jackson. A scorer in Trent. Or a shooter in AJ Green. Kevin Porter Jr is a question mark at backup PG.

2nd tier team in the East.

#Celtics expected to focus on the buyout market to add to roster. They can?t sign any player who made above mid level exception ($12.8 million) before being waived.

New: A league source confirmed to MassLive that Celtics made no further moves today after Jaden Springer deal Wednesday. A look at the options for the team now after a busy deadline around the league:

Buyout market it is. Or Lonnie Walker. Or both  :)

I sure hope we go in the buyout market. We can't hang with the top competitors in the East who have also shored up their depth. Sam Hauser is iffy esp when his shots are not falling, so other than Pritchard we have no reliable backups

Too bad.  I was hoping for a nice surprise today.

This was, by far, the most likely outcome of the trade deadline for the Celtics. They have 9 rock solid rotation players, they can't aggregate contracts and they are about to get massively expensive. It was going to be near impossible to find someone who makes the right amount of money, would crack the rotation, was available with the late firsts the C's had to offer and wouldn't further exacerbate their future tax payments.

This same team won the title last year. They've got another great shot this year. Maybe they can find another guy on the buyout market, but either way...

Let's roll.

The Wizards are sending Marvin Bagley III to the Grizzlies as part of the deal, sources tell ESPN. Johnny Davis also sent to Memphis.

Did Memphis get anything back for Marcus Smart?

So Memphis are

Starters

G: Ja Morant
G: Des Bane
F: Jaylen Wells
F: Jaren Jackson Jr
C: Zach Edey

Bench

G: Scottie Pippen Jr
G: Jon Konchar, Johnny Davis, Colby Jones
F: Luke Kennard, GG Jackson, Vince Williams II
F: Santi Aldama, Mo Bagley
C: Brandon Clarke, Jay Huff, Alex Len

Those backup wing positions look weak. I like the PG and the two big man slots. Konchar and Kennard though. I would have liked to see them make an upgrade at the trade deadline.

Edit: Jake LaRavia is gone. He went to Sacramento. Need to add Alex Len and Colby Jones as well. Colby Jones and Johnny Davis. Two flops at SG.

Jayson Tatum in 12 games against defensive stopper De?Andre Hunter:

27.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists

Yeah. This gets the Cavs no closer to beating the Celtics in a 7 game series.

Am I the only one who believes in CLE lol? I obviously hope I'm wrong but right now I might still lean CLE in 7 over Boston when you factor in HCA. Our H2Hs have been pretty close this season and if CLE stays healthy they have a pretty loaded 9-man rotation.

It would be a very fun series.

I wish Boston could bolster it's bench a little. I do worry about Hauser's back issues and also, do we have a 3rd playoff big? Idk if Kornet/Queta are capable beyond the 1st round.

Why? While the games ended close, we were clearly in control every single game and looked every part of the better team each game. And this is despite missing KP for one game and Brown/White for the other.

Just don?t think it?s a good matchup for Cleveland, even with Hunter and especially with their offense reverting back to the mean.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Save 11 million dollars in salary and somewhere around 75 million dollars in luxury tax for next season. Get off the rest of Jrue's contract. Not a crazy possibility.
