Long snapper has to be one of the better jobs on the planet.  Of course all you have to do is not screw up one job 4 or 5 times a week maybe.  It would be like it NBA player?s were allowed to carry a free throw expert that they could use for technical foul shots.  They don?t even really have to block do they? They said he was making $3 million last year!

It?s important - a good long snapper is valuable. But Redz is right - pretty good job.

I love Matt Slater but I also felt that way about him, like his job was to just to be in the special teams plays but that's it. So maybe a total of 8-10 snaps a game accounting for punts/kickoffs. He'd be involved in some of the plays directly but not all, sometimes he just ran up and down the sideline. And he made about 35M in his career doing it for about 13 years.

Yes he was a great leader in the locker room too and a worthy captain.

Oh. Don't get me wrong, I definitely see why they have a specialist for the job.  It's pretty cool being in the Top 32 of anything in the world I guess.  Especially if you can get paid for it (most of my specialties are farely unmarketable).

Not even being a homer here, but I legit see 10-11 wins on this schedule. A handful of these teams are "lambs" and/or have terrible QBs and our own team and roster + coach are better too.

That's 11-6. Yes, Buffalo, Baltimore and some others will look at the Pats as "lambs". But what about CAR, TEN, NYG, CLE, NO, PIT (if Rodgers doesn't sign there), etc.?

O/U seems to be around 8.5. 

I think the Pats will settle somewhere around 8-9 wins myself.  Will definitely improve on last season and will build momentum towards 2026.

My main concern coming out of last season was the OL.  It was bad last season and had to be improved.  It looked like they did, but now I am not so sure.  Cole Strange and Sidy Sow coming back from injuries.  Added two vets (Bradbury and Moses).  High draft pick (Campbell).

It appears that both Strange and Sow are not cutting it.  These are two past solid starters.  Strange in particular, coming back from injury, but an established starter at LG.  Now it looks like a rookie might start at LG.  Bradbury hasn't been great at C and Moses seems to be injured, so our vet additions are in question.  Campbell probably will be fine, but I don't want more than 1 rookie starting.

This team goes nowhere without at least an average OL.

To me, the last two games are likely big ones (@NYJ, vs MIA).  They could go into those games with 8 wins, if things go well (i.e. take care of business against the weak teams on their schedule).  Win those last two games and maybe they make the playoffs.
