I am enjoying Luka beasting people with his strength after all the criticism about his weight & conditioning.

I don't criticize Luka for his weight/conditioning, but his defense to me is still bad. Reminds me a bit of Rockets' Harden, yes he was a beast and put up insane numbers but definitely not good defensively either.

Luka's defense is worse than Harden's at this point.

Oh no! Great job forcing Westbrook to shoot that 3 at the end of Q1 but then you give up a simple offensive rebound to Jokic! Terrible!

There's no AD to grab that rebound lol. Agreed, too easy for Jokic he was all alone there

I'm confused why the Sixers don't use Ricky Council more. He goes out there and puts in the effort and has had great shooting nights, including the recent game against Boston. They are better off giving more minutes instead of banking on PG13 who is out there doing cardio

The commentators were talking about non-Jokic minutes ..

I loved what they did the year they won the title. They played A Gordon as their backup center with MPJ as their PF. Those two were difficult to matchup against.

Then they had Bruce Brown at PG alongside two legit wings. For this team that would be Westbrook and a pair of wings who can shoot. Strawther. Probably Braun. Or maybe some Jamal Murray.

I don't know why they have gone away from A Gordon as their small ball backup center. I love MPJ at PF as well. He is a matchup nightmare with his size & shooting touch. Stretches out the court so much. Creates loads of extra space for his teammates.

The funny thing is, I feel like the Lakers defense is amazing when Lebron is on the bench. When he comes back in that's when DEN has been able to cut into the leads and score buckets (or draw easy FTs)

Has Luka changed the balance of power between LAL and DEN?

He is a different problem for DEN to deal with. LeBron often got tired towards the end of games in those playoff series. Now he has Luka to keep him fresh. And they keep 1 of the 2 on the floor at all times. Meanwhile, DEN still struggling with non-Joker minutes.

Heartbreaker for PHI. They rallied late and tied it on a Maxey 3, but Claxton with a last-second tip-in to win it for BKN

They are cooked. On the bright side they now have control of the 6th best lottery odds and their pick to OKC this year is top-6 protected.

Sure, they are only 1.5 games out of 10th place. But that's pretty much their ceiling, they are 6 full games out of 9th place. So best case scenario is they get the 10th seed and have to win two road games in the play-in just to get the 8th seed and get waxed by Clevland.

They'd be much better off keeping their pick.

The Lakers have gotten so many wide open shots tonight. Denver's defense has been awful.

I haven't seen much of Denver this year but is their bench basically just Westbrook? I know Strawther got in insane foul trouble earlier (4 fouls in 90 seconds lol) but it doesn't seem like the others are giving them much.

Why does Joker only have 5 shot attempts against a donut team like the Lakers? I was surprised to see this in the box score, and it?s already the 4th quarter.

Refs for this LAL/Den game are asleep at the wheel. Yeesh

They are doubling him and forcing him to pass the ball, which has also led to some turnovers. But also LAL is basically leaving Westbrook wide open and daring him to shoot. He's made some shots recently but like I don't think allowing Westbrook to take 15 shots through 3 quarters is a good recipe for DEN. And the counterpoint is, Jokic only has 5 shot attempts as you said. Murray only has 11 and he's 6-11 with 19 points, maybe feed him more.
