Jimmy Butler been putting up 20.4 PPG the last 5 games during his tenure with the Dubs. Also taken that leadership role with the clipboard during a timeout last night. He even able to get Draymond Green to listen to him during the huddle. What are they even paying Steve Kerr for  ;D

Guess a change in environment can be nice.

Give it a little more time and he'll be back to the same old disgruntled Jimmy he's always been.

Jimmy with 17pts on 5-10 FGA 7-7 FTA last night. 7ast and 0 turnovers. Super efficient scoring & playmaking.

24pts blowout of the Kings

That makes it 9.4 FTA per game against 13.2 FGA for Jimmy in his 5 games with the Warriors. Jimmy has been living at the FT line since the move.

6.2rpg and 5.6apg against only 1 turnover per game. Filling up the stat sheet. Those assists vs turnovers are amazing. Amazing for a PG nevermind a wing player.

I don't expect the honeymoon to last. ;D
I think it will last through this year and possibly through next year.  He knows what he did with the Heat.  He'll be on his best behavior for a while.  And he's an excellent player.

Bobby Marks is already saying if MEM has a short playoff run this season, Ja Morant could be traded this offseason. I know the Luka trade was bizarre on its own but I wouldn't be surprised if we started to see a lot more star movement in the next year or two, even in addition to Doncic, Fox, Butler, Ingram, etc. Possibly even guys like Giannis, Durant, Embiid, Harden, Morant, etc.

Some of it I'm sure has to do with cap space/luxury tax reasons, but I also think some teams who are "close" but not quite there are deciding to cut bait earlier on guys they aren't as high on and get back other potential assets to help them.

Apparently Indiana has the 5th best record since mid-December with a record of 20 wins 8 losses since Dec 13th.

If Ja Morant were a true franchise guy ... he has enough talent around him to win a title right now.

I love the help. I love JJJ and D Bane as 2nd and 3rd options. I love the role players. Z Edey has been great. B Clarke. S Pippen Jr. Wells has been good for them. Kennard. Aldama has been great this year.

Any true franchise player would make that group a title contender.

Soooo ... if Morant can't make Memphis a title contender, yeah, I'd be open to moving him. Only for a fellow high rated star. Not a rebuilding trade. I'd rather keep him than rebuild.

Right now, Ja Morant is failing. He is letting the rest of the team down. They are not letting him down. He is failing to live up to his tag as a legit franchise guy.

Absolutely zero defense being played on either side of this Nuggets/Lakers game.

80% of this commentary has been just about Doncic, not the game  ::)

76ers down 11pts at halftime against Brooklyn. The two teams are tied W-L wise at 20 wins 35 losses each. And now Philly is losing to them. With all their Big Three playing.

Embiid is toast. He needs to just shut it down and get whatever surgery he needs. Maxey is the only guy trying. George right now is a waste of money

Look at that post up by Luka against A Gordon. Backing him down and getting an easy shot against A Gordon. A Gordon is a high level defensive PF. Luka muscling him out of the play. So strong.

Lol the refs have made 3 straight atrocious calls against Denver

This foul was legit. The 3 before? Come on...

Lol Luka's defense may be even worse on this defense-less Lakers team. Braun literally just cut right in front of him in the paint and Luka made zero attempt to do anything about it to prevent him from getting an easy layup on the pass.

And the Denver "winning streak" is looking incredibly overblown and mostly the result of a super soft schedule.

I am enjoying Luka beasting people with his strength after all the criticism about his weight & conditioning.

I don't criticize Luka for his weight/conditioning, but his defense to me is still bad. Reminds me a bit of Rockets' Harden, yes he was a beast and put up insane numbers but definitely not good defensively either.

Oh no! Great job forcing Westbrook to shoot that 3 at the end of Q1 but then you give up a simple offensive rebound to Jokic! Terrible!
