What a comeback and block by Ant on Shai on the go-ahead layup!

This would be an awful, awful loss.

Down goes OKC in overtime.  What a game.

Minny took the mini series 2-1. Didn?t have Gobert or Randle either. Thunder are pretenders.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

How does going 1-2 to go to 46-11 make you a pretender??

They crumble under pressure. Just like in the playoffs last year.

I want Lakers in finals. Expose Luka again and send Lebron into retirement(he is never retiring) with a big sweep!

No Gobert. No Randle. That is a shame. Hard to see Minny being able to hang in there against this OKC team without those guys. They look overmatched in the paint. Naz Reid by himself against Hartenstein & Chet Holmgren.

These two teams played a few days ago and Minny won. Good game so far.

also played last night, okc won

This is a weird take. I think we take the 55 game sample size, adding hartenstein, Caruso and another year of maturity from all their young guys (with huge jumps for some like Williams) over a team playing Gordon Hayward scoreless minutes and starting Josh giddey and three regular season games

Josh Giddey has been on a roll in February.

9 games played. 31.4mpg.

19.8ppg
8.1rpg
5.1apg

TS% = 65.7%

Regular season wins don?t mean much. SGA is great, but Jalen Williams didn?t take a huge jump. He?s basically doing what he did last year. Until Chet becomes an all-star I don?t think that core is good enough. Proof will be in the playoffs, like last season.

This Thunder team reminds me of the C's when they were going to the ECF and lost to the Warriors.  In a year or two they will be in the same place the C's are in now.  To much talent and they still have so many assets but when Chet and JW need resigned the clock will start ticking fast because of the luxury tax.  The Thunder still have a ton of draft capital as well.

Just saw a pretty wild stat on Twitter.

Average age of Auburn's starting five - 23.2 years old

Average age of Oklahoma City's starting five - 24.4 years old

On Tatum and the Face of the League

These are some comments from a youtube video by Stephen A Smith and Shannon Sharpe

Quote
Jaylen Brown is clearly better than Tatum and that?s why Tatum can?t be face of the league. Everyone else they are trying to push as the next face is the best player on their team.

I keep coming across this since the Finals last year.

Quote
well jason tatum is a star player but not a super star.. and that's it. he is also not a generational talent like luka doncic.

Quote
No player is disrespected more on Twitter than Tatum.

Quote
These idiots obviously haven't been on social media. JT is consistently disrespected.

Quote
He?s boring. It?s nothing about him that make people want to be like him. Jah and Zion athleticism out of this world good play high flyers are marketable. Ant the play, attitude, leadership marketable. Tatum after then ecf aginst the cavs he?s been boring ppl questioned who the leader of that team was. He?s not even the face of his own team

That is a fair remark. Who has been the face of the league that hasn't had a highlight friendly game?

- Julius Erving
- Bird
- Magic
- Jordan
- Iverson
- Shaq
- Kobe
- LeBron
- Steph

A lot of charisma with those guys too.

Quote
Tatum the new Bron these days with the hate

Quote
hes a great player, who plays for a great team. he's like Tim Duncan to me, very boring player, great but boring

Duncan was never the face of the league. Not that any Duncan fans or Spurs fans would care. He had a tremendous career. So will Tatum.

Quote
Tatum does nothing at a historically great level, just everything is very good for his time, he won't reach peak T-Mac

Peak T-Mac or Peak Tatum?

Quote
Tatum lacks personality and his game is boring. He's a jack of all trades master of none. Most superstars have either a great personality that makes them marketable or have an elite aspect to their game or both, tatum has neither. Great player though, easily top 5-7 player but there's not one thing that people can say about tatum that makes him memorable. In a sense he's a worse Tim Duncan, from a marketing standpoint but unlike tatum, Duncan was constantly winning as the best player and was arguably the best defender in the league.

Quote
I like Tatum but he boring like he don?t say nothing. Hell even Steph gone beat his chest a little bit. Show us some type of personality.

Quote
Tatum has the same demeanour as Duncan. That?s why he?s not getting the same shine.

Quote
tatum hoing to be like Duncan? silent assassin end up with 5 chips couple mvps low key and theyll look back and call him one of the greatest

Can't say I dislike all the Duncan comparisons. I love Duncan.

This is the same ownership group that fumbled Durant/Westbrook/Harden. I don't think we can treat this as a given.
