The East to me feels like it's Boston-New York-Indiana-Milwaukee in whatever order.

Yes there's still moves to be made but PHI and MIA are slipping. No guarantee Butler even stays in MIA, and PHI needs an impact move and their options are dwindling. Orlando/Cleveland too. If Orlando could grab Klay or George and make another 2nd tier addition then they'd be cooking.

I am bit worried about Orlando. They have all this cap space but limited FA options. It doesn't look good for them.

I would stay away from Klay. He is a bench player at this point. Not an answer to ORL's backcourt issues. He is an alternative to Joe Ingles as a slow wing off the bench.

It sounds like KCP is their top target now. A good 3+D player. But that isn't the offensive difference maker they need to add next to Banchero & F Wagner. That won't put them in the title mix. It'll leave them stuck much where they are. A first round or second round and out team.

OG get 5 year 225 million from Knicks, they going all out
What is that? $45 million a year? For OG?

That is the going rate for a top 10 SF. Salaries keep going up.

That much money for someone who?s not even an All Star. Salaries are really skyrocketing.

The Washington Wizards are trading F Deni Avdija to the Portland Trail Blazers for Malcolm Brogdon and the 14th pick tonight and 2029 pick, sources tell ESPN
Is that a cap dump for Washington?
Why else would they want Brogdon?

It seems like they really wanted the 14th pick. Apparently Bub was on their mind.

What options do the Sixers and the Heat have now that guys like Anunoby and PG13 are apparently off the table?
Is DeRozan a free agent?

I saw a youtube video where Sheed (76ers fan) was hoping Philly would get DeRozan this summer. The final piece. The 3rd wheel they need next to Maxey & Embiid.

Is Cam Johnson now the best player on the Nets?

G: Schroder
G: Cam Thomas
F: Cam Johnson, Bogdanovic
F: D Finney Smith
C: Nic Claxton

That is not a pretty looking team heading into next year.

Brogdon being used as filler in consecutive years after winning 6moty is something else. It's funny that we may have overpaid by giving up Nesmith, Theis, and a 1st. Hope the dude gets to move on to greener pastures at some point, but that may come at a much cheaper price after his contract is up.

I disagree. Think they win in the low 30's
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I am split in two.

Positives: I like the frontcourt. Three solid starters and a good bench player. Strong defensive & rebounding foundation. Two good shooting forwards to provide spacing. An extra scorer off the bench.

Negatives: I hate the backcourt. So selfish. Schroder dribbling the air out of the ball playing for himself. Cam Thomas is shot happy / greedy and doesn't play enough defense. He has the talent to become a good NBA player but he needs to grow in terms of his defense & passing and he shows no signs of doing it. Odds are he'll just be one of those me-first players that actively makes his teams worse with his selfishness.

I can see that frontcourt getting to .500 with a comparable backcourt and solid depth. But I look at that backcourt and see a 15-20 win team. Lack of depth (for now at least). I think that backcourt will sink them. Will drag them down into the 24 win range.

It is a shame. It is polar opposite. Team first good guys in the frontcourt and me first selfish guys in the backcourt. If they just had team orientated guys, I could see them being like the Nets a few years ago that went .500 under Kenny Atkinson before Kyrie & Durant joined. Just hard working team orientated somewhat skilled guys. But that backcourt is going to kill them.

Will be interesting what the Celtics do now that KP has had surgery and is out for 6 months. They still have the Al resting back to backs so they will need to have 2 capable bigs off the bench.

Maybe they resign Tillman and Kornet with Queta and those three hold the fort.
