Lakers should trade Davis. Not good enough to be a true #1 and he still has very good value.  Probably makes most sense to trade him in the off season, but that should be their move as they should be able to get 2 or 3 quality players and replenish their draft stock

It's probably not the right return for the Lakers, but part of me wonders how an AD/KAT trade would look. The AD/Gobert frontcourt would be an absolute monster (as long as AD stayed healthy and the team had enough spacing offensively). I think he'd be a better fit than KAT.

KAT is only 2 years younger than Davis, though, so I'm not sure how good of a return that would be for the Lakers. Maybe if they moved KAT to a third team for picks/younger players (if he has more of a market then Davis)
I think a GS trade could be interesting. Something like:

Klay, Dray, Kuminga, Moody, Podz, 1st

for

Davis, DLo, Prince, Vincent

A 1-2 punch of Lebron/Klay is goin’… Nowhere.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

They aren't going anywhere as is. That trade gives them more long term flexibility and some vets that Lebron likes for the next couple.

Lol Lebron would probably pummel Draymond after he acts up a few times
They are pretty close friends though and that may be what Draymond needs to keep his stuff together

Klay Thompson looked like Klay Thompson of old tonight. 30 points at the Bulls?

Lakers/Hawks talking Murray trade..I say Lakers going get either DeRozan, Lavine, Bojan, Murray, Capela
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

That would improve their core to make a deep playoff run

Do you think the West is really that shallow this season?

If I'm the Lakers with Lebron and AD, the only team I'd be "scared" of in the playoffs (in the west) would be the Nuggets.  I'd like my chances against anyone else.  If they add Murray, especially if they keep Reaves, I'd feel OK against the Nuggets (though I'd still favor them).

How do the Lakers have the capital to add all-star level talent without giving up commensurate talent?

Two things here:
1. The Lakers main problem is shooting. I don't think Murray and Capella help that. Bogdon would some.
2. What are the Lakers trading to get them? I'm not sure they have enough for Murray, much less two other solid players. Rui and Russell are not good basketball players and I wouldn't think Atlanta would want their contracts or play. I don't think the Lakers are trading Reeves. Vanderbilt as a poisen pill contract that makes it hard to trade right now. Vincent? Hood-Schifino?

I know the Lakers were able to make some great trades last year to help their run, but that was a bit of luck and good opportunity. I don't think they have the value to get the quality of players they want.

DeRozan makes more sense. As does Lavine to me (even though I think I'm the lone survivor on Lavine island).

How could lakers realistically get Murray without reaves? Murray is a much better player than reaves. I think most people feel he is just an awful fit next to Trae not that he has fell off a cliff at 27.

Never count out LeBron in the playoffs. He's a different animal. And with healthy Davis, that too. Adding someone like Murray or DeRozan definitely helps them.

Lebron's Lakers are in danger of missing the playoffs completely.

Ehhh still a long way to go, they're only half game behind the play-in spot. Last year they made it in as the #7 seed and went all the way to the WCF.
