Lakers/Hawks talking Murray trade..I say Lakers going get either DeRozan, Lavine, Bojan, Murray, Capela

That would improve their core to make a deep playoff run
Do you think the West is really that shallow this season?

Never count out LeBron in the playoffs. He's a different animal. And with healthy Davis, that too. Adding someone like Murray or DeRozan definitely helps them.

Lebron's Lakers are in danger of missing the playoffs completely.

Ehhh still a long way to go, they're only half game behind the play-in spot. Last year they made it in as the #7 seed and went all the way to the WCF.

That was a pretty fluky run in a down year for the west. The west is also way stronger this year where Minnesota, Thunder, Clippers all look  much stronger than last year. Plus there is a chance suns are finally starting to figure it out.

I have been watching as well.   Nothing amazing about him really so far, he is a role player at the college level.   Does anyone really think he is an NBA prospect?

I mean, today was probably his worst game as a college player 0-7 from field and zero points didn’t really do anything positive. I think it would be something of a mockery of the league if was a first round pick for some team trying to get his dad.

If I'm the Lakers with Lebron and AD, the only team I'd be "scared" of in the playoffs (in the west) would be the Nuggets.  I'd like my chances against anyone else.  If they add Murray, especially if they keep Reaves, I'd feel OK against the Nuggets (though I'd still favor them).

How could lakers realistically get Murray without reaves? Murray is a much better player than reaves. I think most people feel he is just an awful fit next to Trae not that he has fell off a cliff at 27.

I am not sure Dejounte Murray is much better of a fit next to LeBron as he is Trae Young. Same issue. Two ball-dominant players.

Murray is having a career year shooting wise though. His 3PT% has always held him back as an off ball threat. He is shooting 39-40% this season on good volume (6 3PTA per game). He still takes far too many midrange shots and never gets to the foul line (3 FTA vs 17 FGA) so his TS% (overall scoring efficiency) is still middling at 57%.

But middling is better than anything he has ever done in the past. He is usually downright pathetic. And while being downright pathetic, so dang selfish that still jacks up 15-20 FGAs so he can get his own numbers at his team's expense.

It'll be interesting to see if that 3PT% (and TS%) holds up or not.

If I was the lakers I’d look more to Lavine or Derozan . Derozan you know what you’re getting and they can maybe get him due to his age. We all saw the best so far out of Lavine ( not THIS year for sure) and we was close to all star level. I think Lebron would get the best out of him and as the third option I think he’d revive the guy.

Funny enough, I think this means we can now trade for either of them lol

That restriction goes away for Gallinari and Muscala

It would be great to have Galinari back on this team.

the worst team in the league doing a trade where they give up 2 2nd round picks seems very strange to me, especially when they acquired veterans for young players.  Just very strange, even to save some money.

I don't mind at all. Finish what we started from last year  ;)

He's been having a solid year so far as well.
