I watch all NBC games on peacock. It is pretty nice. They have less commercials and more features.

I have sling, and I was able to watch that game using the free NBC sports app as well on sling.  It worked really well last night.
But maybe the playoff game is an exclusive to Peacock, I hope not.

the Chiefs game is absolutely a peacock exclusive. I was just commenting that I like viewing games on peacock.

If you have an American Express card, there is an offer to opt into that gives you $5.99 back when you spend at least $5.99 on a Peacock monthly subscription, which is conveniently $5.99.

Someone can tell me what happens in the Dolphins-Chiefs game. I'm not signing up for that service. It's so dumb that they have this during a playoff game too. So what, in the future it'll no longer be local channels, it'll all be Amazon/Peacock and other streaming sites?  ::)

I feel the opposite. I have YoutubeTV with NFL Season Ticket and NBA League pass. So there is always something else to watch during commercial breaks. On Peacock you have to switch apps to watch other sports.

This gets annoying fast. I use the NESN a-la-cart streaming app and watching Bruins / Sox games is a chore, as you're locked in to that app and can't jump to another game without exiting. It's nice to be able to rspidly surf different channels with the click of a button.

YoutubeTV is great for that.

Not sure if I will ever fully enter the streaming world. I do have a couple of paid subscriptions but I’m mostly old-fashioned basic cable. I venture to guess I ultimately pay more than I should but I really don’t understand it all that well.  I do know that I don’t have Peacock. How do you get news and “free” tv networks (yes I know it’s not free) without cable?

I'm waiting to cut the cord until everything is available in one place. Youtube was enticing, but they just upped their prices. Saving money every month sounds nice, but flicking around in my leisure time to find out I can't watch what I want has a price too. Namely, the cost of a new tv when I smash it.

Cable is definitely on the way out though. I'm going to wait until the options are better than Youtube or Roku.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

I meant they don't do as many commercials on the broadcast, they often cut to studio for analysis, or sometimes it is just a blank screen.  Peacock does have other sports on it, though I don't think any will be live during that game.  I just find it is a better viewing experience overall.

That's fine, but does nothing for neutral fans like me in Boston  :P
