Pete Carroll is out as the Seahawks head coach. He and the organization have "amicably agreed he will transition into an advisor role."

Kalen DeBoer, come on down!

Sounds like he's the front runner.

WOW! Pete Carroll being let go by the Seahawks as HC.

Could possibly remain in the organization still but not as HC, according to Schefter

A shocker in Seattle: Pete Carroll is expected to be out as the Seahawks head coach, per sources. He still could remain in the organization, but not as the head coach.

I'm not sure which is more surprising: Carroll being let go or Saban retiring.

I'm surprised by both, but I'm legit shocked by Saban.  Realistically, he has nothing left to prove, but I figured he'd stick around and coach forever.

What's crazy is that I always pictured Bear Bryant as this old relic at the end.  He was 69 when he retired then died a couple of months later.

Saban is 72 but he doesn't seem that old.

Wow.  The man looks good for 72.  He's slightly older than Belichick, who seems to have aged quickly the last handful of seasons.

He was told he is not coaching any more, but he is remaining with the organization.

Raiders should have already removed the interim tag and made it official. What a cluster or an organization

Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah

If I'm Belichick, I'm paying attention to how this weekend goes for Dallas and Philly and then basing my next destination off that. I really do think if any or both of DAL/PHI falter early in the playoffs, it's possible they  move on from their current HC and grab Belichick. Dallas in particular seems more likely to do that IF they go one-and-done (or even if they win next week but then get blown out or something the following week). Belichick has spoke highly of Dallas, the Jones' have as well on Belichick and it'd be a ready-made, contender for Belichick to join.

I guess other options are Atlanta and the LA Chargers. I just can't see him with the Raiders, Commanders or Panthers.

Atlanta is very interesting. They have some pieces already on offense. Their defense is already pretty good (don't let the final few weeks fool you, I think they pulled a Chargers and quit on their HC Arthur Smith), and because they are in the NFC South they can still win a handful of games + make the playoffs. Maybe they add Josh McDaniels as well to help the offense. They do need a QB though. Could Kirk Cousins or Baker Mayfield be an option for ATL

Atlanta is not a good job.  Not the worst job, but no top tier coach with options should consider the Falcons this year.
