PIT @ BUF
MIA @ KC

Easy win for KC as Miami Dolphins are always fraudulent. Pittsburgh without TJ Watt and at Buffalo makes it extra difficult for them. Easy win for Buffalo too.

I do enjoy watching any Miami team get humiliated.

But Tua is not the guy. He is a fraud. He panics under pressure a lot like Mac Jones. Except he has a stacked offense around him so it only shows against elite opponents.

Make him make multiple reads and he is a bad QB. Same with Jared Goff, who is about to get exposed next weekend.

Who played worse in the second half of the season, Jaylen Hurts or Tua?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Hurts.  The Dolphins were full of injuries, so it was a rotating cast of players every week, which is tough for an offense that tries to exploit teams through precise timing.  The Eagles just looked bad, with not nearly the same number of injuries.

Atlanta getting Black Monday started early with a Sunday night firing of Arthur Smith.  Not terribly surprising.

Amusing that Arthur Smith's last act on a football field was to complain to the Saints' Dennis Allen about the New Orleans players running up the score to gift Jamaal Williams a touchdown when he had the entire game to coach his team of professional footballers to stop them doing that  :police:

Interestingly, Bob Myers -- formerly of the Golden State Warriors -- will help run the overhaul in Washington.

So the AFC North officially became the only division in NFL history to have all teams over. 500 and did so with the best and 2nd best record in the conference (a lot of teams tied for 2nd). Steelers obviously made the playoffs as wild card as well. And even the Bengals ended up 8-3 outside the division.  Just pure dominance from the division.  Of course none of it matters if they flame out in the playoffs.

He’s gotta go, and that’ll be the end of Fields there I think.  Most new coaches don’t want to inherit another guys project, especially if you’re sitting on the #1 pick

Of course, Eberflus inherited Fields himself, which does prove your statement to a degree, but if you think Fields is the problem, maybe you keep Eberflus.

I’d keep them both and trade the pick, however, given the return you can probably get for it.  The Bears are not good, but they’re not bad and they keep changing direction every 2-3 years, which hasn’t proven successful.  Use the pick to shore up 2-3 other positions this year and get more draft picks down the line, and pick up a Penix, McCarthy or Nix later in the first or in the early 2nd round.  Maybe even get Daniel’s at 9 if he’s still on the board.  But stick with Fields for now, only with some competition you can switch to if needed.  Fields showed moments where it looked like he could be part of the solution, especially as the year went on.  If he is, there’s no reason to restart the process with a rookie QB.  Most don’t play like CJ Stroud did.

He's an excellent defensive coach and the players like playing for him.  I just have zero confidence in him building a staff.  Getsy is terrible, and they lost two assistant coaches this year to inappropriate behavior.  It shows lack of judgment.

That said, outside of Harbaugh, I'm not sure who I'd hire.
