Cowboys down 48-16. There is no way in hell Jerry Jones does nothing. McCarthy is probably getting fired. I doubt they move on from Dak but he certainly has to be looked at, because he contributed nearly 20 Packers points from the poor turnovers and bad throws.

Belichick should have a red carpet to Dallas

How is Dallas only at -7? That game is going to be a blowout.
I agree..might be worst game this weekend
I think Dallas wins as well, but Green Bay has playing the best football in the NFC the entire 2nd half of the year, and while Dallas hasn't lost at home in 2 years, the Packers are actually well suited to play in a dome (more than the weather they actually play in).  I actually think it could be close and it wouldn't surprise me a ton if the Packers won.  I picked and still am maintaining Dallas wins, but I stayed away from the spread on that game.
well I got the analysis right about the Packers, but man they blew the doors off the Cowboys. Didn't see that coming.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I feel better about the Bears losing to GB in Week 18.  The Packers look like the second best team in the NFC.

Packers-Niners will be a fun one

Long offseason ahead for Dallas. At least in the past their playoff chokes were typically in the divisional round. Now they go one-and-done (wild card) with a pretty pathetic blowout loss to the 7 seed where they were outclassed all game long. Jerry Jones can't be happy.

Belichick going there feels like a no-brainer. He can shore up the defense, instill some better fundamentals and run a tighter ship. The pieces on offense are there and Stephen Jones can continue focusing on the talent acquisition and offense. Maybe Josh McDaniels can also join Belichick as an assistant to help Dak and the offense further.

How was that not a late hit on Stafford?  He released the ball, then got hit twice.

How do the Rams punt in that spot? It's idiotic. Give yourself a chance. If you fail on 4th down, let Detroit score. It's still a one-possession game, and you have another shot with far more time.

LIONS DO IT!

First playoff win for them since 1991. Congrats to them and their fans  ;D

They honestly have a great shot now to make the NFCCG too. Next week is another home game for them against PHI or TB. I like their odds

Yeah you nailed it TP.  The plucky young teams are doing well so far this postseason.

I have to think this is the end for McCarthy in Dallas.

If Dallas lose, u think McCarty is a goner??

Yes. Enter one Bill Belichick

I’d  like Bill to have a successful end to his career but I’m a no-Cowboys person.  Looking good so far for the Packers - long way to go.

Oh, I hate them too. But it would be great TV, especially in this drama-obsessed age. But I think Bill cherry-picks a contender a-la Brady. He doesn't have enough years left for a rebuild.

Buffalo is another possibility if they fail again.

Totally agree.  It probably didn’t cost them the game, but they should have been in four-down mode with their third-down play call and gone for it regardless.  The odds of picking it up on 4th and 14 can’t have been much worse than driving 50 yards with under 2 minutes and no timeouts to get into field goal position, which was the best case scenario after the punt.

If you let Detroit score, they'd have the option to go for 2 and make it a two-possession game.

McCarthy is likely gone, but should Dallas move on from Dak as well? He seems to choke every time the Cowboys are in the playoffs.

They could absolutely trade him and some team will bite. Frankly if NE could nab him I would legitimately consider it. Not for #3 of course, but maybe a 2nd round pick + some future picks. Maybe Pats trade for Prescott and draft MHJ with #3.

Part of the problem for DAL though is Prescott's cap hit in 2024 is around 60M. They might have no choice but to extend him to open up space. And frankly, you can probably do a lot worse than Prescott right now. There's no obvious candidate to replace him that'd be elite unless Dallas somehow trades into the Top-2 and takes Caleb or Maye. Kirk Cousins is similar to Prescott IMO, not a true upgrade. Dak is better than Mayfield. Maybe I'm missing other FA QBs but there aren't a lot.
