Very surprised that Marion went before Stoudemire. I get the reasoning that Amare is a bit harder to fit on a team than Marion, but still.
As freakishly athletic and dominant offensively as Amare was, he was not good at defence, despite having all the tools. His "I was never taught defence" quote always looms large to me.

Amazing offensive player, and athletic enough to hide alongside good defenders, but I see the reasoning for Marion before him.
I think the injury in year 4 really robbed Amar'e of a spot on the top 75 team. He was still really good after that,  but wasn't quite the same level of athlete.  I'm still trying to decide what season to use, but I think I'm leaning towards that 3rd year before the injury.  He was basically unguardable that year.  He was faster or stronger than everyone he played and often both of those things.  In this, I think only a couple of guys can even attempt to guard him.  I thought he was a clear 1st round pick in this. Couldn't pass him up even though I took Pau in round 1.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

He could also shoot! His percentages from 16-24 feet are really nice. He could beat you in so many ways. He obviously benefited from the offensive maestro he played with but he would be great regardless.

After missing out on Mitch Richmond, I'm going for the next best thing. Efficient, high level scoring from all 3 levels, great passing, just an overall matchup nightmare. It's binkie time.

The Orlando Magic select...

Brandon Roy!

Epic indeed. Feel like there'll be lots of guys who were cut down before they should have been in this draft.

I like that Roy has proven chemistry with a big scoring forward, and Webber has proven chemistry with a smooth scoring wing.

Great picks this round so far. B Roy and Manu were two of my top targets for this round- I got some thinking to do depending on this next pick.

When Roy H took Manu I had a sneaking suspicion that there might be a bit more attention on B Roy, and I wasn't willing to risk waiting until the 3rd round.

Two members of the TMC Warriors have been picked already, so I guess it's my duty to pick the last player, but certainly not the least. One of the oft forgotten members of the 1992 Dream Team, he was one of the smoothest and most efficient scorers of the 1990s. Ahead of his time as a shooter, the LA Clippers pick 2x Olympic gold medal winner, decorated college player, and Hall of Famer...

Nice! He would have been even better in today's game I believe.

He looks weird as with long hair though. Don't even recognise him
