Fan of both picks. Marion was another guy I had been thinking of selecting alongside Webber, and going small ball

Seeing Marion before a certain teammate is interesting. I can see the logic tho. His jumper is one of the most weirdest things I've ever seen  ;D

Manu

I KNEW you were going to do that lol- was hoping to get him this round.

Ha.  Yeah.  I'm sure I'll be making a lot of repeat picks from years past.

And that's the one I was hoping would fall, although probably not to the end of the third. Excellent choice. Have a lovely evening everyone!

With the 4th pick of the 2nd round, the Brooklyn Nets will add the best athlete in the draft and select Amar'e Stoudemire.  Like Pau, he has the positional flexibility to play PF or C.  And yes, I'm intentionnaly going big. I am going to force you to go big and defend me or get killed in the paint.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Very surprised that Marion went before Stoudemire. I get the reasoning that Amare is a bit harder to fit on a team than Marion, but still.

Love Manu and knew he’d get nabbed before 20.

As freakishly athletic and dominant offensively as Amare was, he was not good at defence, despite having all the tools. His "I was never taught defence" quote always looms large to me.

Amazing offensive player, and athletic enough to hide alongside good defenders, but I see the reasoning for Marion before him.

It was all about the Richmond/Marion pairing on the wing.  Think it would work really well plus Marion is just a ridiculous Swiss Army knife.  Binky too.

Never been much of a fan of Amare.

Awesome run of picks so far. A few earlier than I expected but they're great. Excited to see the pairings later.
