Jimmy Butler has had a super-efficient scoring season.
22ppg on 54% FG% which is a great mark for a wing. Then he is getting 8.7 FTA relative to 13.9 FGA which is an exceptional rate for getting to the FT line and hitting them at a high rate of 85%. He doesn't take many threes, only 1.6 per game, and hits them at a solid 35%. It is the FTs and the two pointers that are driving his efficiency giving him a 64.7% TS%. Remarkably efficient.
Jimmy doing his usual All-NBA level defense, quality rebounding and excellent playmaking from the wing - 5.3 assists per game relative to 1.6 turnovers per night which are fantastic numbers again driving his offensive efficiency even further. Those low turnovers relative to the combined scoring and assists is exceptional.
It is a shame that Miami have done such a bad job putting a supporting cast around Jimmy and Bam because Jimmy has had a sensational year. 33 years old. Not clear how much longer he'll be able to play at an elite level. A wasted season for Miami.
