Dallas are half game out of play in game & got some players out with this:
Kyrie with foot soreness
Hardaway with ankle soreness
Wood & Green with rest, rest!!

Your season is on the line and got players out with being sore and players need rest lol…unreal

They're choosing lottery pick over a dead end playoff appearance & no draft pick.

I hope the reporters ask Cuban about it. That’s pathetic.

Didn’t Luka say that he’ll keep playing as long as they have a chance? This is really weird.

Sounds like Luka is playing. Kyrie, Hardaway Jr, Woods, Green, Kleber, Morris are out. What kind of message does that send to your star player? I honestly think Dallas could give Denver a run for their money if they got into the 8th spot.

Thanks. I read in one of the previous posts that he would be playing only one quarter. If so I would love to hear the logic behind that.

So apparently there’s a reason for this that I just learned. From an article online:

Quote
Luka Dončić played one quarter and then was pulled. The only reason he played at all was because it was “I Feel Slovenia” night at the Dallas arena, promoting Doncic’s native country, and he didn’t want to let down the Slovic fans who came to see him

This makes more sense. Although it’s still not exactly a good look. Apparently Doncic started the 2nd quarter but then checked out soon after. They may have done it according to social media to give Luka an ovation but there was “confused claps and cheers” from the crowd lol. What a mess

With Toronto losing and Brooklyn winning, I’m 99% sure now that literally the entire East’s Top-10 in seeding is OFFICIALLY LOCKED IN. So are the play-in games (Atlanta @ Miami, Chicago @ Toronto)

So basically, ALL of the East teams’ games on Sunday are worthless as everyone’s officially locked into their seed and 1-10 is already set now (meaning the playoff + play-in teams) :P

Does DAL know they’re supposed to be losing?

Yep it’s true.

CLE-NY, PHI-BKN are confirmed series. Boston and Milwaukee obviously wait until the play-in results

The Mavs are a mess.

Can you imagine the outcry if they manage to win the lottery and land Wembanyama?

This is the reason the Mavs are trying to lose the game tonight:

Mavericks-Knicks trade details

Mavericks receive: Kristaps Porzingis, Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Courtney Lee

Knicks receive: DeAndre Jordan, Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith Jr., 2021 first round draft pick, 2023 first round draft pick (top-10 protected)

Fair point, but you have to wonder if Luka is good with how the Mavs are managing things. I mean he did make it clear that he wanted to fight til the very end? Then he said that he misses Jalen Brunson and how their chemistry was so underrated. Add to that Kyrie telling everyone that he plans to test free agency. I wouldn’t be surprised if Luka asks for a trade in the offseason.

Quite the stat

From ESPN

Quote
The Spurs, Rockets and Mavericks have been eliminated from postseason contention.

This is the first time all 3 Texas teams will miss the playoffs in the same season since the Mavericks became a franchise in 1980-81.

Wow, first time in over 40 years. Wembanyama is definitely going to Texas.

The Lakers, with both Lebron and AD active, are struggling with the Suns reserves in a must win game if they want to avoid the play-in bracket.
