This seems like big news:

Bucks star Khris Middleton underwent an MRI on his knee Thursday and he is expected to rehab for the next week or so in hopes of being ready for start of the playoffs, sources say

So Middleton may not be fully healthy the rest of the season. Local Bucks media is also saying he's been dealing with soreness for a bit now and it's lingering.

If BOS beats MIL in the ECF, I guess there'll be more "but what if Middleton was fully healthy" lol

God I can’t take another year of people acting like Middleton is prime Scottie pippen and the only reason we could beat them. Please god no.

I don’t see why PHI would want to lose to MIA.  Right now, they would have BKN in the first round. Why help MIA change that.

I hope Joe is drawing up some plays to attack a zone defense.

Philly still plays the Nets on the last day of the regular season. If they want the Nets, they can just “lose” to them as BKN has the tiebreaker over Miami. For the conspiracy theorists out there, maybe they purposely lost to Miami tonight in order to help them secure #7, and possibly face the Celtics. Philly would love it if Miami knocks the Celtics out in the first round. Then again, Miami would still need to win the play in game so nothing is really set in stone.

I agree. People are really overthinking the manipulating the standings angle this year for some reason. Teams are concerned about health and rest at this point not trying to guess who will win the playin in tournament or the results of other games.

Exactly.  I'm still trying to figure out why anyone is concerned about Miami.

The Mavs are resting Kyrie, Hardaway, and Wood amongst others tonight.  They’re eliminated from the playoffs with a loss.

Maybe they think they have a better chance with only Luka?

The tank is on. I believe they only keep their pick if its in the top 10.

This is correct, and they’re tied with Chicago for the 10th position.

Yeah, and the Bulls really have no incentive to lose because their pick is going to ORL no matter what.

What happens if CHI wins out of the play in and makes the "playoffs".  Is it the 14 teams with the worst records who get the lottery slots or is it the 14 teams that don't make the playoffs?  Is it purely regular season record?  Could CHI, in theory, win the championship and also the draft lottery?

I think it is the 14 teams that don't make the playoffs are in the lottery.  So the position of the 8 play in teams is decided based on how the play in works out, right?

If you’re in the playoffs, you’re out of the lottery, same as before.  So if Chicago makes it through the play-in, Dallas is alone in 10th, regardless of regular season record.

No. They're either in the lottery or in the playoffs.

I guess, theoretically, Chicago has a small chance where they would actually keep their pick. They would have to lose the playoff and then end up in the top 4.

I sure hope the Bucks don't have a cakewalk first round series. Make sure it drags out as long as possible, and get physical with Giannis.
