Hauser is 21 ppg on 41% shooting from 3 from the g-league. He may be the shooting we need. He's a little longer than Duncan Robinson, but he's also a little slower. The main thing is that he has to figure out how to hold his ground a little bit on defense. I've got memories from the summer league and this NBA season how opposing guards (good and bad) would easily get to the basket and score over him.

Hauser is similar to strus.  If he's surrounded by Grant theis white he should be fine.  He's also 6'7

Two things about Hauser, he can't defend no matter who you play him with and he can't create his own shot if covered by an athletic defender.

He can shoot, but needs to be used with this is mind.

Carson  and Tremont dominated the Gleague, so stats there mean nothing.

I've always been a fan of Cody Zeller. He's definitely declining, but as yoru 4th-5th big man, I think he could be a solid contributor defensively and as a screen-setter.

Keith Smith mentioned they will explore converting Same Hauser to a standard contract.

This was a list Keith had on Twitter and said could head to BOS:

Ryan Arcidiacono
Sam Hauser (Two-Way)
Luke Kornet
Jaysean Paige
Brodric Thomas (Two-Way)
Denzel Valentine

Wouldn't mind a couple of them finding their way onto the C's roster.

I'd prefer not to convert Hauser and Thomas; it seems like a waste at this point.  How has Valentine looked in Maine?  I'd be down with Kornet again.

Looks like he’s only played in two games thus far. First game: 28 mins, 23pts, 17reb, 8ast, 6-14 from the field, 5-10 from 3pt.

Second game: 39 mins, 27pts, 9ast, 9reb, 7-13 from 3pt and 10-20 from the field. I’ve always been a fan of his since college. I know Valentine has been plagued by injuries since coming into the league, but I’d like to see what he can do off the bench.

Here are his highlights from the games:

Definitely agree.  A 3/4 guy who can shoot.

Brad Stevens on the immediate roster needs: "We're going to had two today. Then we'll add what we need. More insurance on our frontline is important. And we've talked about adding shooting. Ideally, some shooting with size. 3/4 sized guys. That's what we'll do near-term."

We really need to get a Wing in the buyout market. we literally have no one on the bench that can play SF.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Couple of vets to shore up the lineup. If this team keeps playing this hard anything is possible...

Those guys need to develop in the G-league. They are not ready. Hauser can shoot, but can’t play D. Nesmith can’t shoot or play D.

Agree, this is what I think we need most.

Gary Harris is still playing for the Magic at this moment. Am not sure if he’ll be bought out.

Denzel Valentine is here and would be a low cost investment.

He’s a bit undersized, but still bigger than White. I’d give him a shot at SF.
