The Lakers standing offer to DeMarcus Cousins is a 1 year deal in the range of $10 million, I’m told.

oh man if they get Cousins for 10mil that is just freaking unfair.

Wow lol, huge fall from grace for Boogie if he even considers that offer... Pelicans can offer him a better contract, and they should... If they want the chance to retain Davis.

Guy is coming off injury, the AD/Boogie pairing hasn't exactly set the league on fire. Who knows what the Pels offer him..

Favors got 36/2, but sure...

Injury concerns are troubling, but at worst, Cousins can still put up 16/8 numbers at the worst... Those are worth way above 10 million.

That’s crazy for an All-NBA player, especially when Derick Favors just got $18 million for a year.

That Achilles injury for a player his size... history's just not on his side. Add in the questions about attitude. It's not all that crazy.

I think the injury plays into it more than the attitude.  Plus when the lakers are contending (not sure if they are yet) they seem to get better deals. smh

Fall from grace?  More like major concerns about a big man recovering from Achilles surgery.  It wouldn't be surprising if he contributes very little next season.

It’s crazy when you’re otherwise spending your room on KCP, Rondo, Stephenson, McGee, etc. Attitude can’t be that much of a concern.

But how honestly good can Boogie feel that he's only being offered 1 million more than Rondo? Just to play with LeBron, and his buddy ol' pal in that nice Lakers environment? Meh, go back to Pelicans on a two year close to max deal imo.

LA will be a bigger stage for him. Even with him on the Pelicans, it's not like they get crazy coverage. He's not going to be at 100% to start and they'll likely be a bubble playoff team. He proves he's healthy on the league's biggest stage and makes a decent showing in the playoffs, he rebuilds - possibly improves - his standing for FA next year.

If Boogie is signing for $10 million, we should sign-and-trade Morris, Nader and Yabu for him.

Can’t imagine that Boogie would accept that, even for a year. Also, I don’t know who that guy reporting this is, and I haven’t seen any other more reputable person report this.

But man oh man, that would be some sort of a circus of a team, especially in LA. Can’t believe Lebron signed up for this lol

Well if he wasn't seriously considering the Lakers, he would have already signed with the Pels and been done with it. He's at least listening..

Banking on Cousins being his old self next year? I’d wait and see on that coming off that injury.

None of those other players are coming off of an Achilles rupture. Lakers are clearly willing to take calculated risks regarding attitude, but that injury scares me. I do not expect him to be the player he was before the injury ever again. But if he can get back to 75% of what he was talent and ability wise, that's still a very good player. But no one knows if that's a possibility yet. Hence, $10m.

This makes the Lakers absolutely dangerous with the addition of Rondo. Beating LA is now tougher with his hustle in that squad.

I know he's one your binkies, Roy, but if Danny and Co. weren't interested when he was healthy, I doubt they'll be interested in him now.

They weren't interested in the amount of money, and years he was originally asking for...

I get it, you guys don't like Cousins. But if Cousins would come to Boston for 10-12 million, man I'll gladly take him... Better than Morris and Nader/Yabusele.

Gambling on an All-NBA player for spare parts? I’d do it.

I'm not surprised. That's good money for Rondo.
