Someone explain something to me.
The Cavs shouldn't be able to still be fielding calls for Kyrie, right? While they have the right to nix the deal due to the physical until Thursday, the trade itself has already been completed and finalized, meaning Kyrie is already a member of the Boston Celtics.
I don't understand how they can still be having discussions with other teams for a player they don't currently have rights to. While teams discuss counterfactuals and hypothetical trades involving players of other teams all of the time, wouldn't this just essentially be Cleveland aiming to renege on their agreed-upon deal with a better offer after the fact?
