We have a final roster now, right?

Thomas/Rozier/Nader
Smart/Brown/Ojeleye
Hayward/Tatum/Yabusele
Morris/Crowder/Theis
Horford/Baynes/Zizic

Allen and Bird on two-way contracts

Psyched for training camp and preseason.
Did the Bradley trade open up enough space to sign Yabu? Last I heard he had to be stashed another year to open up enough space to sign Hayward.

Assuming Mickey is released, yes, we have enough room, and don't need to do anything with Jackson cap-wise.  We can give Ojeleye a 4-year deal that starts at just above the minimum in year 1.

They replaced a declining old guy who wasn't even being played at the end of the season with one of the toughest and most consistently underrated bigs in the league.

They replaced KO with a Morris twin, who is almost 1/3 of the price of KO.

And to say that adding Hayward for Bradley merely improves offensive consistency is ridiculous. GH is on the same tier of player as PG13 easily, and is also a good defender of wings.

It's absurd to say we're not much better than we were last season.

I don't even know where to begin with the amount of crazy in that post, so I'll just say that we disagree and leave it at that.

Not sure what's difficult to understand. Morris is miles, miles better than both Amir and KO. Hayward is a ridiculous upgrade over Bradley (offensively by miles, defensively AB obviously gets the edge). And Baynes is so much tougher and better at the little things than Zeller ever could be. Plus he has an NBA championship to show for it. Add Tatum to that group and its obvious we're better than last year.

Better to beat the Cavs? No? Better? There's zero doubt about it.

I wonder if this is insurance after seeing Zizic in SL?

No problem.  For the Nader fans/Jackson haters, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I'm 95% certain that if Jackson is traded there would be enough space to sign both Ojeleye and Nader to 4-year deals.

I doubt it.  I don't think the Celtics ever intended to give more than about 10 minutes a game to Zizic this year.  Summer league may have lowered that expectation, but he was always ideally going to start the season as the 4th big, and work his way up from there.

We are certainly better for the playoffs and better in tight games.  I say at least 55 wins and play 7 against the Cavs

Seems doubtful that Nader makes the roster. As insurance for a guard injury, which we're actually fairly short on now, Jackson makes much more sense than Nader, who has Brown, Tatum, Hayward, Crowder, Morris, and Smart all in front of him.

We really only have three true guards on the roster in IT, Rozier, and Smart.

EDIT: I forgot about Ojeleye, too. Yeah, I just think Jackson makes more sense to keep/sign than Nader.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

56 wins is about right in my book, that'll work for me. ;D
No Mickey/Jackson(seen enough) , I'd rather any of our other options.

Love the signing. Great fit on this team. They need Baynes' physicality and rebounding. Does a lot to solidify that rotation at center alongside Horford and Zizic.

well, our patience with zizic may pay off. thus far tonight, in 13 minutes he has:
4 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.

he may be shaping up faster than some here thought. we can always hope.  ;D

So now Amir, Zeller, Olynyk, Jerebko and Bradley have been replaced by:

Baynes, Zizic, Morris, Theis and Rozier?

Amir-Baynes

Zeller-Zizic

Olynyk-Morris

Jerebko-Theis

Bradley-Rozier

it look to me that Ainge made a concerted effort to add toughness and rebounding to the roster while still keeping with the versatility that Stevens desires. This also opens up playing time for Rozier who Ainge stated he feels is ready.

Those moves also allowed us to afford adding Hayward, and we still added Tatum.

It's actually:

Amir - Morris
Zeller - Baynes
Bradley - Hayward
