I'll be devastated if Smart goes.

Favorite player on the team by a wide margin. I'd completely understand the logic, but it would leave me really bummed and not excited at all about adding Hayward.

Apparently Danny has already contacted some people about Smart. It'd really surprise me if Smart went over AB, though, since Smart projects to cost much less next year and can run the second unit.

Maybe what Danny wants to do

Horford
PF (trade Smart)
Hayward
AB
IT4

Zizic
Crowder
Tatum
Brown
Rozier

his shooting or lack of efficiency is the reason he will get the boot....Danny has been patient but Smart has not progressed really in the shooting department....efficiency wise one of the worst in the league

Can an AB/Crowder to NYK, Melo to Cleveland, Love to Boston trade work?

Lol no chance whatsoever.

Crowder to Denver makes a crap load of sense

they have one too many pfs now with Millsap, Faried, Lyles, Hernangomez

To Nuggets: Crowder, Rozier
To Celtics: Hernangomez, Barton

would like Faried but Celtics don't have the bodies to match salary

I'd be all over that trade TB. Barton would make a quality 6th man and Juacho has solid potential.

Smart makes 4.5 mil and if you are keepin Rozier you need to clear 1.8 million of cap.

What starting level PF makes 2.7 million dollars a year?

Cmon now let's pay some attention to the cap.

love Smart and would prefer to move Crowder instead due to now having 3 other guys that can play SF.  Crowder's not the shooter we need and his D has declined.  Smart will always bring the D and can back up IT at PG

If I'm getting rid of a player, then to me it's Smart by a wide margin.  Worst player of the bunch.  And salaries are irrelevant since we'll have to get salary back in all likelihood.

several... Jokic makes 1.3 million

like I stated the Nuggets have one too many PFs right now

and though a guy like Hernangomez is still a young player, I can see him start at the PF spot.  at least unlike Crowder he is a legit PF . That can play D and shoot the 3

Ok, let me rephrase, what starting level PF making less than 2.7 million can we acquire for Marcus smart? That player doesn't exist.

TP for finding a player.  But what else do we give up in the trade?

How the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. are salaries irrelevant?

We can't afford to pay 3 maxes and a near max.

Plus AB makes 3.5 mil more than Marcus extending the range of contracts we could take back ina. Deal

Crowder and Smart D are comparable...  I would give a slight edge to Smart for his crazy/intense episodes late in games

but offensively, Crowder has Smart beat and its not even close...smart can't shoot
