I'll go with Crowder or Smart. Bradley fits too well with IT-Gordon-Al.

Now, I'm reconsidering, though, and might be returning to my original position. Bradley's the logical choice, as he's going to get paid next offseason.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Trade for a PF.

This...I havent seen someone lay out options of starting caliber PF/C's for us to trade for. Ideally he would be good at rebounding and can shoot 3's somewhat respectfully.
What are you willing to give up?  And, the trade will also need to clear more space.  So probably more than we can ask for.

No way you can get a quality PF on the appropriate contract unless you give up multiple pieces.

That said, I wouldn't mind moving AB and crowder in the right deal. I'm pretty sure that would allow us to take back ~13 mil in contracts and that package has some nice value.

I don't see an obvious trade out there.

I agree. Love AB, but Jae's contract and ability to play the PF make him invaluable and I don't think it's feasible to pay 3 max contracts and AB next season.

Great Celtic whose impact won't soon be forgotten, but I think he makes the most sense to move.

Here comes the sad part, getting rid of players we've grown to love.

I liked Jerebko. I really liked KO (soft spot since we drafted him, and that game 7 was so memorable).

Then there's guys who are still here, like Smart, Crowder, and of course, Avery Bradley. I'd love to keep all three, honestly. But we need a big. Crowder seems like the odd man out because of Hayward and Tatum coming aboard. He should have arguably the most value because of his contract, so that's a plus. If we move Smart, that's a lot to replace. Obviously his offense leaves something to desire, but his defense is sometimes jaw dropping.

Bradley is my favorite Celtic, but I understand he deserves to get paid next year. I want him to, but I can't see how we can be the team who pays him with IT getting his new contract. So if he is the one (or with Crowder), I won't be happy, but I'll understand why.

Ainge got his guy. He also got Tatum where he wanted him. So far, so good. But the roster isn't complete. Ainge needs to finish this right. But I think everyone should have confidence in him now.

And then there is Brad. He's a guy I genuinely want to see coach his entire career for the Boston Celtics. Period.

Source says Boston has already begun contacting teams about picking up Marcus Smart.

If Marcus goes to OKC (Katz is an OKC guy), he's going to be a superstar lol.

Can an AB/Crowder to NYK, Melo to Cleveland, Love to Boston trade work?

Really hope we don't end up dumping Smart or Crowder for nickels on the dollar. Would hugely detract from the Hayward's value.
Nickels on the dollar?  We may not get anything at all for whoever we trade (except cap space that is).  And I'd be fine with it if that's what it took to get Hayward.

There's no way that Ainge can't get *something* for Crowder. We're talking about a legit starter making $22m/3 years.

Numbers don't work. I'm not sure Love fits.

I'd like to find a way to keep Smart and give him one more year to develop a shot.  But Rozier is the poor man's Marcus.  To me you move Bradley first, Crowder 2nd.  If you're not going to pay Bradley, move him now and get something for him.

My best guess is that AB goes. Celts can't retain both him + Smart in addition to IT next year.

But if I'm Ainge, I'm trying to make a multi-purpose deal: shed salary *and* bring in a quality young big man.

Pacers to Boston: Myles Turner
Boston to Pacers: Brown, Lakers/Kings pick, Rozier.

We would literally have to be mentally retarded to make this trade...

Crowder to Denver makes a crap load of sense

they have one too many pfs now with Millsap, Faried, Lyles, Hernangomez

To Nuggets: Crowder, Rozier
To Celtics: Hernangomez, Barton

would like Faried but Celtics don't have the bodies to match salary
