2018 with protection? This deal sounds even worse than I feared.

I suspect I'm about to jump on the "fire Ainge" bandwagon.

Philly will have the best trio in the league of young players, plus they'll still have the '19 Sac pick. As a franchise, they're in a far better position that we are.

Philly does not want to be Dannys next victim

Bascially going to be something like 2018.. top 2 protected. If it ends up being a top 2 pick...celts get 2019 kings pick. 2021 top 2 protected if not 2020 top pick ptotected.....etc bs is my guess

There is no rational way for anyone to think we can afford to keep Horford and IT, trade for Butler, and sign Hayward. 4 max contracts is an impossibilty, yet someone daily acts like it's in the works.

And the Lakers pick next year
Future protected picks?

Just a really stupid deal esp if they end up with Josh Jackson

Flat out awful, Danny is getting taken to the cleaners if that's the deal! If we draft Jackson it will be a wasted pick. So next year we would draft to lottery picks that can't shoot? ::)

Why would we draft Jackson or Tatum for that matter if they think they can get Hayward? If they draft a wing player than I'm guessing Hayward is off the table and no reason to create space for him, guess you go after always injured Griffin.

To not get Saric in this deal is embarrassing IMO. Some may not like him but he would start on our team no question in my mind.

Would you rather have saric or two potential top 5 picks?

Joel Embiid just tweeted a picture of Fultz name on a locker in the 76ers locker room.

This is just getting me more and more frustrated.

Danny is building a super team in our division........In Philly!

Where are the 2 top 5 picks? Including Brooklyn?

I'm not sure that the Lakers are going to be bottom 5. They tanked the poop out of this year to get that low.

I don't want to do the deal period but you have to get back the #3 another lottery pick and Saric. We need a big guy, wings that can't shoot are not going to help.

Danny will not lose out on this deal

But Philly does not want to give up #3 and next years potential #1 pick for just the 2017 1st

Every team i think learned their lesson regarding trafing draft picks after Danny fleeced/crippled the Nets org

A lot of Celtic fans were disappointed in the pierce/kg to nets deal when it happened. Let's wait and see what happens. Things take time to appear how Danny sees it

Then again this is a continuation of said deal. Would be crazy if Danny tries to extend out pierce and Kgs gifts for another decade by continuously trading down

Protections aren't complicated unless both teams want them.  My guess is the 2021 Sixers would be something like top 10 protected and protected 21-30 as well.  I doubt the Lakers 2018 would have protection but if so I doubt it would be more than top 1.

Has to be multi picks plus 2017 3rd

Otherwise danny does not come out on top in this trade

Risky just to sit on the 2018 lakers pick hoping it is a top 5 pick

That is true... We don't really know the whole plan...

But so far I I don't like it to be honest
