If we trade for Okafor, I'm burning my Danny Ainge Blue Jays rookie card.   Okafor the worst player to ever play the game.  He's horrible.

If we trade with Philadelphia, I'd strongly recommend trying to get Dario Saric before Ben Simmons returns.   Saric is still a risky pick-up, but the more he adjusts to United States basketball, the more he looks like a young Larry Bird.  His shooting percentages are up and he's averaging 20 points over his last 5 games.  If Embiid actually misses more games, Saric will be Rookie of the Year.  Saric is best at power forward, but can play some small forward as well.

With Marcus Smart's rise to greatness, maybe we can kill two birds with one stone and trade Avery Bradley + Jae Crowder for Dario Saric and Nerlens Noel.   It makes perfect sense for both teams.  Philadelphia will clear out their log jam, clear minutes for Simmons, get needed guard and small forward help.   Because it's working so well, Boston can continue to start Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown.  Boston will get a future star in Saric and a solid defensive center in Nerlens Noel.   Boston will also then be able to draft one of the 2017 guards without having to worry about their roster crunch.

Okafor would be great here, playing for Brad Stevens. Evan Turner was a BUST before he got here.

But KD was also "spotted" at Logan a day before he signed with GSW.

He averaged 17pts-6rbs-4ast per game for Philly in 2013-2014 before getting traded to Indiana.

If he was so great---why did Philly trade him, and why did Indiana let him go?...He was the #2 Pick---pretty much everyone agrees he resurrected his "career" here in Boston.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

From some of the rumors on the twittervers he's already said his good byes this weekend to teamates and personal behind the scenes. So he's in Boston for a reason.

BUT, there are also rumors Okafor for Rondo. Not sure why the Sixers would do that. Makes no sense if Simmons is going to be the point forward, unless they think Rondo with help teach how to be a PG in the NBA, which will be egg on their face if thats the case. That being said he could be in Boston waiting for the Bulls to come to town and hitch a ride back with them.

BUT he would just be on the bench and a possible distraction, so him going to Chicago and waiting would have made more sense, so maybe he Is coming to Boston....

UNLESS they don't want to give it away until it's a done deal, so he could be going to Chicago....

He's probably getting traded to the Pelicans. :)

But the C's/Bulls game is IN Chicago, not Boston

Oh man, for what ever reason I thought it was in Boston since they were on that road trip. Okay thats kinda interesting. It could be to jump the asking price up for the Bulls which is the hot team on twitter going after him, but would he play that game for them? Maybe.

Or are the Bulls rumors driving the price up on DA?

Or he really likes snow and clam chowder. :)

I don't think you've watched a lot of basketball if you think what I high lighted is true.

He has a lot of skill on the offensive end, and has good foot work. Problem is no one has ever held him accountable on the defensive end, yet he's still getting over a block per game. If he really wants to play the game getting traded should put a fire under his butt. Also with guys like Crowder,Smart,Horford,IT and Stevens they'll either whip him into a man or break him and wont be heard from again.

It's hard to judge anyone playing for Philly the last couple years, people think Cousins would turn it around leaving SAC and coming to Boston, I don't see why Okafor wouldn't have the same chance. He was a big want coming out of college, and he's only 21, still time.

No way Philly is giving up Saric right now, and no way give up AB and Crowder for Saric and Noel, unless you're blowing it up and going young. Brown and Saric would get owned right now by Lebron, and KD or Green, so unless you're planing on the distant future, you stick with one of the few guys that can actually guard Lebron with out getting completely owned.

In fairness to ET, a good Celtic, Hinkie was dumping assets for picks and to just get bad. He dumped Lavoy Allen and Hawes the same day and got the corpse of Danny Granger for ET.

Then in Indy, Vogel completely misused ET by putting him in the corner to shoot threes exclusively. Thrn ET got into a bloody fistfight with that piece of garbage, Sir Lance who was berating Hibbert in a pre-playoff game practice.

ET was used properly here by Stevens and maybe got over-rewarded for it. Good luck to him. I liked him but not for 17mil per.

I also would think far less of Aimge if he traded for Okafor.  However, the overwhelming evidence points to Ainge being an intelligent GM.  I'm confident we won't trade for such garbage.

I just think Okafor could be highly useful under Brad Stevens. He is still very young, plus he's tall & strong--and can put the ball in the hoop---teach him some boxing out and a little defense.

Man, I would do cartwheels if he's traded to Boston.

Can I ask why exactly, because I don't see that Okafor brings anything more to the table than Tyler Zeller does?

How can an a 20 year old kid be GARBAGE that has not been healthy all year?    And put up those numbers last year.   Kid has proven to have talent.  Every level he has been labeled talented....

If we give up some late firsts and Mickey, JAckson to match salary I'm on board!!!!!    This kid could destroy second teams coming off our bench.   We could use a post player.....   On a side note.......why is he GARBAGE?

He is talented and I think he can be salvaged but right now hes a horrible defender, a bad rebounder and cant spread the floor at all.

If the price is right I would love to get Okafor as developmental piece. I would be fine bringing him along slowly and giving him Zellers minutes.

His lack of rebounding and defense doesn't fill one of our needs right now. The talent is there, and the system is in place to develop him, but he's not the missing piece for a title run this year.
