Someone on this thread just said Smart > Fultz... yeah we properly value our players here.
Smart was the #6 pick in what was considered a loaded draft. How can you say for certain that Smart isn't better than Fultz? Lots of good college guys don't dominate in the NBA - at least Smart has an all-NBA skill with killer 'intangibles.'
As for Smart succeeding somewhere else - I guess. I mean, if he had a starting spot on a team with fewer aspirations, then perhaps he could gain more confidence. At the very least, he could be an everyday PG and be on the court for all 'crunch time' minutes. With the IT, AB, Smart on-court trio not exactly being dominant, Smart may be only a defensive replacement at the end of games on the Cs.
Lol. Do you even know what you're saying? Brooklyn pick>Smart.
the Brooklyn pick is way more valuable than smart
But that doesn't mean that player will be better
TP Grateful for being the only person to 'decipher' what I was saying.
Yes, the BKN pick is considerably more valuable than Smart - an unknown high lottery pick is one of the most valuable pieces a team can have.
I was responding to the poster who said that Fultz was obviously better than Smart, when that may not necessarily end up being true. When Smart was drafted, he was really highly rated, just like Fultz is now. Fultz may or may not blow by Smart as an NBA player, but we can't be so sure just yet.
