You don't pick Buddy Held without the motive of trading Bradley or Smart.

I can see smart going. He's a better point guard than given credit and a a decent shooter. Plus he's aggressive.  If Isaiah wasn't such a good scorer I would rather have smart as pg.  as it stands smart is a tweener with the addition of roZier.  Making smart more expendable.  He could bring in a nice pick or be packaged for a big.

This team is looking at serious contention in 3 years if they draft Heild and Thon maker.  A scorer now and a dominant big to develop are two good choices especially if we have no stars coming here. Ainge needs to start thinking now about developing a team long term in addition to adding pieces for now. There's no more quick fixes like 2008 coming our way.  Teams are wise to that now and ainge needs to stop living in that fantasy too.

But seriously, Ainge is gonna reach for Jaylen Brown after failing to trade for Jimmy Butler and I'm gonna break my hand in the aftermath.

the kid has crazy athleticism and just loves to slash and either dunk or get to the line.

imagine a more fiery and physical jeff green, or a SF with john wall's slashing and finishing. if he gets better with his jumper, he'll be a stud.
And on the flip side, imagine Bill Walker.

I'm starting to warm up to Brown, Bender, or Mudday at 3

Plenty of time for things to play out like 2008. We have a great deal of picks, cap space and marketable players to trade. Only 1 team for sure gets the play they want and that is philly. They need a point guard and have extra bigs. As soon as they know for the sure health of Embrid they will move one. I am worried it may be Atlanta if they lose Holford to the Rockets or Mavs. I personally want us to trade down and get 2 people between 5-10. Sabonis and Heild. The draft a few stash guys with all are other picks. This is going o show if DA is great or just was helped by McHale in winning a championship.

LOL.

You haven't watched enough John Wall, clearly.  That's the first thing.

Second thing, yeah, athleticism and dunking is great.  Now he just needs to learn to play team basketball.  No big deal.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
