Can't shake the thought that one or both of the Lakers or Philly are gonna rationalize their way into reaching for someone other than Simmons/Ingram.

I would find it hilarious if the Lakers especially reached for a project, who turned out to be  bust, while the one out of Ingram or Simmons that fell to the Celtics wound up a perennial all star.

I recommend everyone go watch Murray games from last year. Especially Florida and Duke. He is exactly what this team needs.

Murray's lack of athleticism and length is a huge concern. He's not quick enough to defend NBA PG's and not long enough or athletic enough to defend NBA SG's.
He's an amazing player but it's not going to be an easy transition for him to the NBA.
NBA athletes and defenders will give him serious trouble trying to get to the rim. At times he often struggles to take guys off the dribble which will only get harder vs NBA length/speed.

Sabonis....  it doesn't matter anymore

3rd, 8th, 11th

Just don't lose this kid

There are more Jamal Murray, Hield type guards you could get later.  For example Brogdon.  h e is a little older but just as well rounded. Fantastic 3 pt shooter. And actually has a better defensive upside than both.   Proper guard size, length, explosiveness

I like jaylen brown and have him going third for now. But you could instead grab blossomgame. Similar type of game/explosive athlete 6'7 , 7'0 wingspan. But blossomgame can shoot the ball.  Better passer too .  Not as strong

Sabonis with #3 ? Are you high man?

Nope.  Trade down to 7th to grab him

Just don't wait to 16. He will be gone

We need rebounding and a good frontcourt player ready to play to replace sully, Zeller. Who knows amir might not be back

Also people that are willing to take Bender at 3, explain to me why you wouldn't take Ellenson?
Pretty much the exactly the same measurables besides the fact that Ellenson is just as mobile and versatile at 242 lbs. Is a better rebounder, statistically a better 3 point shooter and scorer. A better defender and was the focal point of his offense. If we grab Ellenson at 3rd overall I'd be completely fine with it. My big board is Henry Ellenson, Jamaal Murray, and then Dragan Bender. The Bender selection is predicated on whether he shot 39% from the 3 point line because right now every site is telling me different stats. If not I'd take Peoltl at 3rd overall. Personally I'd take Ellenson because of his very versatile skillset, ability to stretch the four, and the physical talent that he has.

Ellenson is not just as mobile and versatile. Not even close. Bender is much quicker, lighter on his feet, better leaper. Not a great leaper, but Ellenson is very heavy footed, barely gets off the ground. I think Ellenson is going to be decent, and is a top 10 pick, but there really are nothing alike, besides their height.

Fair enough. I still think #7 is a bit high for him but he's your binky and #7 isn't too crazy.

I think there's a strong possibility that Ainge is going to

-trade the #3 pick to Phoenix for #4 and #13 so the Suns can draft Bender and we can draft Hield.
-We end up with Hield + #13 and take someone like Labissiere or Maker as a long term big man project.

Yes, please let's draft another big who can't finish

Dream scenario for the Cs - there is precedent for this, though. Not only with Russell over Okafor last year, but with Darko over Melo in '03.

Hield at 3 is a big no no.

Bender: much depends on whether he is willing to leave Maccabi and move to Europe.

Also, do keep in mind that altho the Euroleague is ofc far below the NBA level of competition, it is still significantly tougher than college basketball. You play against grown up men who play for professional teams.

He is almost 7'1', 18 yo moves well, and shoots well. It's up to our front office to assess his worth, but I would not dismiss him so easily.

Are you serious?  Lol

He had one of the highest fg percentage of all of college ball last season. He knows how to finish, score efficiently around the basket

At the NBA, maybe won't be able to at the same rate. But he will do a better job in scoring around the post than sully, ko

Jahlil Okafor out of the Philadelphia Trash Heap!

Philly won't trade him unless it's for the 2nd pick imo

Embiid is still a wildcard. Better for them to keep both or all three Noel, Embiid, okafor

Just cause you got the Mickey pick right does not mean you know what you're talking about.  :P

I think they might do something like 3, 23, Rozier for Okafor or maybe we give them 16 instead of 23 and get 24 back.  They supposedly like Dunn a great deal and badly need the guard help (which they won't get at 1).  I think that trade makes a good deal of sense for both teams especially since Simmons and Saric are both more of a PF than SF (and thus they really have a big man problem).  So Philly if they make that move has a starting 5 of Noel, Simmons, Covington, Free Agent, Dunn with Embiid, Rozier, Thompson, other rookies
