Minnesota will be an interesting team to watch heading into next season.  Young bad teams tend to stay bad, it's true, and the T-Wolves are still going to be very young next season.

That said, the Rubio - Lavine - Wiggins - Towns - Dieng lineup has been one of the better 5 man units this season in terms of point differential (among units getting significant minutes).

So perhaps if they can add some more reliable pieces to the bench and hire a coach who knows what he's doing, they can make a run at a winning record.

Imagine them getting Ben Simmons/Brandon Ingram.

EDIT: I can't believe it took Mitchell this long to start those 5. How incompetent can a coach be?

Excellent win by Phoenix. I think they can win two more and fall behind, or err... I guess ahead, of Brooklyn for the 3rd slot.

Shame Atlanta and Miami both won.

Well, Toronto sucked and of course Chicago failed us, but at least Phoenix did us a favor! They pick up one more win and we're solely in third!
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I'd much rather imagine the Celtics getting Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram.

The Suns are looking like they really want to win this game, as are the refs.  I think they might pull through and tie the Nets.  If they don't, Houston will stay neck and neck with Dallas, but obviously my dream is that 3 spot.

This thread has 125,000 views, too!  That's crazy

I had no idea this thread would turn into a mini-game thread for practically every Nets game.  It was initially meant for significant events like trades, injuries, etc. but it kinda just took off on its own.  125k views in about 6 months.  Pretty crazy.

I'll be tossing up a 2016-2017 season watch thread soon enough.  This offseason is huge for the Nets.  That's right my friends, we got two more years of this!  (Better not trade these picks Ainge, unless you're getting a star in return!)

I gotta say though, I don't expect the 2017 swap and 2018 Nets pick to be nearly as exciting at this years one.  This year was a lot of fun.  I never thought I'd end up watching over 90% of the Nets games just in hopes that they'd lose.

Pleasant surprise win by the Suns too, and even better it's at the Rockets expense.   The Rockets are probably the least likeable team in the league, right up there with Cleveland.

Nice win by the Suns.  I really started to dislike Houston after the way the got rid of McHale.
The Suns remaining schedule is:

@ New Orleans
Sacramento @ PHX
Clippers @ PHX

New Orleans & Sac are winable games and if the Clips decide to rest the starters for the last game they have a shot at winning that one.  Let's go Suns!

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
The Rockets blew their chance last night when they lost to Dallas. Every Houston game lately has been extremely predictable - play it close into the fourth, get a small lead, and then totally implode. At least I can go back to hating the Rockets and this win tonight helps immensely.

Also, how incredibly bad are Houston. When was the last time a team shot 57% from the floor and 42% from 3, and STILL LOST??!*@#!

Love to be able to pry Ariza and his team friendly contract away from Houston
