Suns have two more winnable games coming up. It's going to come down to whether or not the Wizards mail it in Monday.
I'm not too worried honestly. Washington are an embarrassment, but as long as they don't sit just about everyone, they should still win. Brooklyn are barely an NBA team at this point.

Well, if Phoenix wins tonight, then we're pretty set with tied for third worst record at the worst, because I don't see Brooklyn winning two of their last three games at all.

They did beat them without Wall a couple days ago.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Praise the basketball gods for Devin Booker and Sean Marks!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Bottom 3!  Wooooo go Suns!
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Danny Ainge is on the verge of getting us home court in the first round, a perfect "tank," a solid bevy of mid-range draft picks and enough cap room to pursue anyone we feel like pursuing....ALL IN THE SAME SEASON.

Seriously, people. Give it up for the best GM in the business.

Fab Melo.

But in seriousness, I agree.  Ainge is among the top if not the top GM in the business.  I'm always thankful we have a great ownership group, a great GM, and an awesome head coach.  Especially when I look at franchises like Brooklyn.  Or even worse, Sacramento.

Buford disagrees.

Can't get 3rd pick until the lottery happens.

they are both very good and I really like Buford's drafting record;  but Buford took a club that had recently won a championship (1999) had a great coach and a top 5 player. Ainge had much less to start with.

the Suns won their game against the Pelicans so if Brooklyn loses all the remaining games we ll be third (regardless of what the Suns do).

I won't argue with anyone who picks Buford, but I'll say that I used to view Buford as better than DA but have switched, for exactly the reason you mention.

Either way it's a nice argument to have.
