So MJ, how's Kaminsky doing?

9 minutes a game.  41% from the field.  3.1 points and 1 rebound per game.

Mike

How does he look when he plays? Do you think he just needs time/rookie play or does it look like he will only play b/c of where he was picked?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/the-15-nba-players-most-likely-to-be-traded-this-season-111015

Quote
3. Joe Johnson

If it feels like Joe Johnson’s name has been floated around in trade talks for the past several years now, it’s because it has. In the final year of his contract, however, this will likely be the season that the Brooklyn Nets are finally able to find a suitor for the seven-time All-Star. Even at 34, Johnson could be a valuable contributor off the bench for a contender. Johnson is a shoo-in to be traded this season.

What could they possibly get for him? Surely if he went to a contender they wouldn't want to give up much.

He's got the 2nd biggest contract in the league - he's almost impossible to move without tearing up the acquiring team's roster. And he's playing like a Boston-era Michael Finley at this point (i.e. borderline rotation player on a good team) so no one's going to want to give up any kind of rotational talent to get him.

The only way he might return some moderate value is if he was used to take on longer salary, but I believe Billy King has already ruled out that option, and even then it's hard to find a good partner. I think Thad Young and Jarrett Jack are actually the most likely Nets to be traded. Jack for somebody like Jose Calderon (a similarly washed-up guy with a better fitting skillset) and Thad for an assortment of shooting roleplayers to better feature Brook.

Anyhoo, for those of you who are geeked up for Nets-Rockets tonight but are stuck watching the C's - I'm there for you.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups

I spy a UNC product that can fill it up in bunches -- amazing fit for us. Kid was a heck of a player his freshman year.

I'm sure a package of Sullinger or Olynyk, plus several draft picks looks really good right now.

Your signature is classic. I do hope larbrd is doing ok though for real. Haven't seen him around in a bit.

In 6 of the games the Nets have played they have faced legit playoff contenders, the other has far superior prospects then the Celtics, The 76ers will be able to add 2 more stars to their already growing list of studs if the Lake show can't get into the bottom 3.Boston will only be able to add 1 prospect to their roster of borderline starters. The other picks will add depth to the D league.
So there will be a heightened excitement surrounding the Sixers regardless if the Nets picks stays in the bottom 5.Given that the Nets have 3 starters and multiple all stars on their roster they will be fine as th season moves along. ::)

Other than us being in the lottery, that's about as good as it gets!

Actually, that's Minny's pick!  They have us at 23

No, jpotter33 is right, this most recent mock has us getting the 9th pick with our own selection.

They have us getting the #2 from Brooklyn, the #9 with our own selection, the #13 from Minnesota, and the #23 from Dallas.

This Houston game is just too close for my liking.

On the plus side, Lopez has played 11 of the 14 minutes so far. Another 35 minute night for him.

Here we go, HOU is up 7 points now.  I still don't know how Shane Larkin is dropping a +11 on them right now  ???
