X-Rays NEGATIVE on Lopez's foot.

We'll see. Stress fractures aren't always visible.

Even if there's nothing broken, a foot sore enough such that he has to be taken out of the game is a very bad sign for the Nets at only game 7.

That's the thing. It only took 7 games of overuse for this to flare up. What's going to happen to Lopez after 20 or 40, much less 82? And they're committed to him for 3 more years...Daniel Ainge is one brilliant young man.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Dang, good point. I wonder if he responds to email? Could narrow down the options. Or, just go with "1"?!

He wears #25 at LSU, but that's retired for KC Jones.

Yep, and #7 is out of the question with the way Sully has started the season...

this is going to take some serious groupthink.

I won't hold my breath for Simmons even if he is within our reach. With the league going small ball, we need a wing who could potential stop the likes of Lebron and Durant, ala Kawhi Leonard. I'm seeing bad signs for him so far. I'll wait until the March Madness and see what he is really capable. Last season, everyone is talking about Cliff Alexander being a top 10 lottery pick to being undrafted.

His weakness to be wary of:

- Not a great defender
- Lacks shooting touch
- Can't create off the dribble
- Doesn't like contact
- Have some "off" games where he doesn't make any impact.

Sounds like Jeff Green minus the shooting.

He's an elite athlete so I think he can become a good defender. Not sure where you are seeing can't create off the dribble, that along with his athleticism is his biggest selling point.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

His mental toughness is the biggest question mark and is pointed out as one of his weaknesses. Jeff Green was quite athletic too. So is Darko. Scouts said he sometimes take his talent for granted.

Philly were neck and neck with Orlando today.
They lost, and it would have been nice for them to be 2 wins up on the Nets, but the team that beat them was the Magic.

So now the Magic (who we were worried might beat out the Nets for the 2nd worst team in the East) are 3 wins and 4 losses..aka 3 wins ahead of the Nets.

Tonight was a win-win  8)

So ... where are all the people who argued that the Nets "aren't that bad," "could contend for the No. 8 playoff spot" and "wouldn't possibly deliver a top five pick" unless Brook Lopez got hurt?

Lopez has been excellent and the Nets are still dreadful.

May the lottery gods finally be kind to us.

This season just keeps getting better and better. Not only did the loss drop them to 0-7 with what I don't see as a winnable game for quite some time but all three of their major scorers, Johnson, Lopez, and Young all showed signs of injuries at some point last night. Lopez exited the game with a sore foot, Johnson was holding his hip for a little bit after getting hit, and Young was down for quite some time with what appeared to be a leg or ankle injury although he did return. Now obviously I don't wish for any of them to get hurt but it appears as though the back to backs are starting to take a toll.
