I don't find it surprising at all that there is interest in how Rondo plays in Dallas, no matter what side of Rondo's aisle you are on. I felt that Rondo was in general overrated while here in Boston. He got all star appearances and selections to all NBA defensive teams but I never thought he was quite that good and that his flaws would be more exposed playing on a bad team.
Now that he is on Dallas, it is fun to follow how well he does. I enjoy reading comments (both positive and negative) from people who have actually watched the Dallas games (I have not seen any of them). I also enjoy reading the Dallas newspapers to see what they think of Rondo.
I don't get why it bothers people when there are discussions about Rondo. Starting a thread to ask why are there so many threads about Rondo seems stranger to me than the fact that there are several Rondo threads.
Let's face it, we are all a little strange (fanatics I guess) if we are such big fans of the Celtics that we spend time on a blog to debate all things Celtics. I suspect that to a non-fan, this would all seem very strange, but especially threads complaining about threads (and yes, I do realize that I just made a post complaining about threads that complain about threads so I admit that I am just as strange as anyone else).
And regarding Rondo, isn't he doing pretty much what he has always done? He is a good player on a good team when there are other stars on the team. From what I have read, teams are still sagging and daring him to shoot. He is shooting more but really the results are about the same overall. Is that badmannering?
