What is a troll? A guy who disagrees with your opinion?

Folks can say or think anything they want, about any player they want. I can puke three times for every post about why we didnt re-sign the irreplaceable Perkins...ignoring the fact we made an offer and he turned it down (and anyone who thinks OKC got their $ worth raise your hand).

Rondo (rightfully) will continue to be jeered for his shoooting and fTS, praised for his rebounding and passing... and overrated for every stat line of 12/8/8 on a team full of shooters..and everything in between.  The Mavs will go as far as Dirk, Parsons and Monta can take them. Rondo will contribute his usual, which is an upgrade over Nelson. Its a perfect team for him-- he doesnt have to do anything on the scoring end, and they put the ball in monta's hands late in games to protect his FT issues.  Good luck to him...

One of the things I enjoy most about Celticsblog is intelligent debate so I don't think a troll is someone who disagrees. Not at all... A troll is someone who spouts incorrect information even when there's black and white statistics that states otherwise. Someone who proclaims an opinion or gut feeling as fact. Someone who says they don't care about a player any longer, but proceeds to bash him incessantly.

they put the ball in monta's hands late in games to protect his FT issues.

They've been putting the ball in Monta's hands late in games all year since he's been one of the best 4th quarter scorers in the league this season. He's taken over the closer role from Dirk, even. Give him proper credit.

bc he quit on the Celts.  And now with his new team, he is playing the way he was expected to play as a Celtic from the beginning of this season.  If he played better, maybe he doesn't get traded or at least we can get back more than we did.  I don't really care anymore. Don't watch the Mavs nor Rondo.   My focus on the current Celts team

for some reason i felt the need to post this again.

never underestimate the power of stubbornness of people who need validation that they were right when they think they are/were.

I dont need to validate nothing.

HE QUIT ON THE TEAM. He was going to leave.

you can write in caps all you want.  you still dont make sense.

If youre about to become a free agent and youre gonna leave, like you think he was.  How does it help you to quit on your team and mail it in??  Especially after you said you want a max contract.

If you want to leave, playing better increases the pool of teams looking to trade for you

Quitting on a team after you got your HUGE deal, that makes more sense.

While I marveled at rondo from game 1 of preseason he is now gone.
Rondo and the trade will now be discussed for at least the next three years.  He joins such players for discussion as:
james posey is god
tony allen should have paid him
jeff green/kendrick perkins trade
paul pierce and kg
doc

am i forgetting anyone?
paul silas!

The truth is you can respect a players talents, and be objective about his faults, while disliking his attitude.

Rondo is a perfect example of "Familiarity breeds contempt". He just came off as arrogant to me.

In short, RR's name has joined the Libro d' Oro of Boston's "What ifs". Not much point in these discussions really. Well, now it's the holidays, no games, so well, we can allow ourselves to indulge a bit in what a 2014-15 C's would look like with Pierce, KG, Rondo, Giannis and Doc... But from Wednesday on we are back to our tanking reality.

Let it go. Move on. Hes gone, and is no longer a Celtic. Good grief, if free agents ever read Celtics blog after the way we criticize Rondo after his sad departure, you'd wonder if they would be very wary.
Can we please stop criticizing Rondo for everything hes done wrong? I mean wow, a lot of the fans here are extremely ungrateful. I know its ironic, I'm complaining about people complaining about Rondo, but hes been traded, and time heals all wounds for those who miss Rondo. For those criticizing him, good for you, I guess some people really need excitement in their lives.

Look, Rondo is a great point guard while playing with great Players. Same could be said about most point guards, I know this.
Again Look, When Boston traded for Allen, Garnett a host of other veterans Lets not forget Pierce was already 31 or 32 years old. There was a 3 to 4 year window with the Big 3 since all were heading past their prime.
Celtics were not blessed with the drafting of a superstar such as wade or kobe or a James at a young age where you could have gotten 10 years out of them. We had maxed out salary cap with the big 3 and it ended quick due to age and contracts..
Stuck with Rondo who is not a superstar player by himself..

You had to move him. Your only chance is building the the draft like the Pacers, Blazers, Toronto, golden st. and so on...And of course some luck!

Thanks for providing an answer to P Stoff's question.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

My other reply has vanished.  I will just say that the comment above is trolling at its best.

Your a fool if you think he tried his best when he was a Celtic this season.

You're.

"Your a fool..."
LOL

True, Gerald Henderson as well.  I liked ainge but at the time, if memory serves me, joe Kline and Eddie Pinckney was a good deal.
Ainge was a great athlete, very good shooter, tough player but as his game progressed he was a solid starter or good sub.
Of course I reflect on the fire of those 80's teams! Ainge bird mchale dj chief sichting  Walton man what a bunch

I didn't lived yet around that time but I think Paul Westphal was a key piece of the 1974 Celtics.

Yep but Charlie Scott kind of made sense at the time but it was a red boo boo
